Estos días he estado tratando de entender $BTC , pero hoy me di cuenta de que para comprender Bitcoin primero tenía que entender qué es una blockchain.

La forma más sencilla en que logré verlo es como un registro compartido: en lugar de que una sola institución guarde toda la información, existen muchas copias del mismo registro distribuidas entre distintos participantes de la red.

Las transacciones se agrupan en bloques y esos bloques se van enlazando unos con otros. Una vez incorporada la información y confirmada por la red, modificarla resulta extremadamente difícil porque habría que alterar también todo lo que vino después.

Ahí entendí algo que antes me confundía: Bitcoin no necesita un banco central que lleve “el libro de cuentas” porque la propia red mantiene y verifica ese registro.

Todavía me quedan muchas preguntas, pero ya empiezo a entender por qué blockchain fue una idea tan importante.
