The US jobs report (NFP) came in much worse than expected, showing a loss of 23,000 jobs in July, while markets had anticipated an increase of 85,000.

Conversely, the unemployment rate fell to 4.1%, compared to expectations of 4.2%, and the previous month's data was revised downwards, reflecting a clearer slowdown in the US labor market.

What does this mean?

Simply put, the weaker the labor market data, the greater the likelihood that the Federal Reserve will begin cutting interest rates to support the economy.

Therefore, we may see:

📉 Pressure on the US dollar.

📈 A decline in bond yields.
