🔹 Washington is actively pushing this — Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick publicly confirmed he's in direct talks with both SK Hynix and Samsung, pressuring them to boost US memory chip output to address a global shortage tied directly to AI infrastructure demand.
🔹 Intel's Ohio site is enormous — roughly 1,000 acres, designed to eventually house eight semiconductor plants, with Intel originally planning $28 billion just for the first phase.
