• Built-in cross-chain bridging for positions and collateral

ether.fi, the Ethereum restaking protocol, announced the launch of ether.fi USD, a dollar-pegged stablecoin with tech support from Ethena. According to ether.fi, there's already over $300M in stablecoin assets operating inside its ecosystem, and the new token will plug that liquidity natively into its upcoming products.

$ETHFI + $ENA teaming up on a stablecoin is a big signal: every protocol now wants its own dollar instead of renting someone else's.

Ethereum just did something bridges never could 🔗

The Ethereum Economic Zone (EEZ) executed its first atomic L1-to-L2 transaction on mainnet: one cross-chain call, carrying 0.001 ETH and updating a rollup's state, landing in a single Ethereum block.

Atomic = all or nothing. Every leg succeeds, or the whole thing reverts. No bridge, no waiting.

Why it matters: L2 liquidity is split across dozens of chains. EEZ (backed by Gnosis, Zisk and Ethereum Foundation co-funding) wants rollups to call each other and mainnet in ONE transaction.

Still experimental, but a Hydration co-founder called it "one of the most important milestones" in crypto.

After the Clarity Act stalled in the Senate in September, CFTC Chair Michael Selig says the agency will build a federal crypto pathway using the authority it already has.

On Monday the CFTC opened a 60-day public comment period on two proposals:
📌 Regulation CTX for retail crypto transactions, including leveraged trading
📌 Regulation CAM for crypto markets

Ideas on the table include proof of reserves, segregated customer funds, and registered intermediaries.
