Binance announcement update on November 6: Cash dividends will be distributed through bStocks to users holding IBMB, AAPLB, GLWB, and LLYB. These four tokens are linked to IBM, Apple, Corning, and Eli Lilly, respectively. In short, when the underlying stocks pay dividends, the platform uses the net amount after withholding tax and related fees to buy back the same bStock, crediting it as additional shares (including fractional shares). On-chain holdings are reflected through a multiplier adjustment, effectively adding a small amount to your position, with no need to claim it manually. The snapshot time was also updated on the same day as the announcement, so please refer to the latest version.
Eligibility is based on the snapshot: IBMB at 09:00 on November 10 (UTC+8), AAPLB at 09:00 on November 12, and GLWB and LLYB at 09:00 on November 13. The corresponding USDT trading pairs will remain open as usual and trading will not be affected. However, token conversion, deposits, and withdrawals will be suspended about 1.5 hours before each snapshot and resume once the dividend distribution is complete. Dividends for holdings in Earn, margin, and other accounts will be credited to the Spot account. The platform will handle the technical process, so users do not need to sign up or apply.
For clarity: bStocks are claims issued by the issuer that represent rights to the underlying securities; they are not direct shareholdings and do not grant voting rights as a company shareholder. Whether you can buy them also depends on the rules in your region. Around 18:45 (UTC+8), Binance Spot
$BNB was approximately 695, and
$BTC was approximately 76,200.
