Scenarios
🟢 Price holds above $1.32 and reclaims $1.50, which opens a retest of $1.65.
🟡 Price chops between $1.32 and $1.50 while the market waits for a catalyst. This is the most likely outcome while the range holds.
🔴 A daily close below $1.30 on strong volume puts the $1.25 range low at risk.
My view: this is a range-bound chart. A breakout needs a daily close above $1.50 or below $1.30, so I’d wait for confirmation rather than guess the direction.

🚨 The $XRP Ledger bug that could have printed free XRP
Sometimes the biggest risk to a blockchain isn’t a price crash. It’s a flaw hiding in the code.
On October 9, the $XRP Ledger disclosed a serious payment-engine bug. An integer overflow, triggered when one payment consumed several exchange offers, could have made the buyer pay far less than the $XRP credited to sellers. In effect, an attacker could have created spendable XRP without paying the full amount.
The fix shipped in xrpld 3.4.1 on September 25, 2026. RippleX reported no sign that the bug was exploited on public networks. A second issue involving Batch transactions was also disclosed, and its fix went live on mainnet on October 9.
My take: XRP’s 100 billion supply cap is central to its design, and a flaw that could get around it would have shaken trust in the ledger’s accounting. The quick patching and validator coordination are reassuring. It still raises the question of how long a critical bug can sit unnoticed.
A chain’s strength isn’t having zero bugs. It’s how well it finds, contains, and fixes them.

🚨 The $XRP Ledger bug that could have printed free XRP
Sometimes the biggest risk to a blockchain isn’t a price crash. It’s a flaw hiding in the code.
On October 9, the $XRP Ledger disclosed a serious payment-engine bug. An integer overflow, triggered when one payment consumed several exchange offers, could have made the buyer pay far less than the $XRP credited to sellers. In effect, an attacker could have created spendable XRP without paying the full amount.
The fix shipped in xrpld 3.4.1 on September 25, 2026. RippleX reported no sign that the bug was exploited on public networks. A second issue involving Batch transactions was also disclosed, and its fix went live on mainnet on October 9.
My take: XRP’s 100 billion supply cap is central to its design, and a flaw that could get around it would have shaken trust in the ledger’s accounting. The quick patching and validator coordination are reassuring. It still raises the question of how long a critical bug can sit unnoticed.
A chain’s strength isn’t having zero bugs. It’s how well it finds, contains, and fixes them.
