When a technology enters a new field, I’m less interested in who looks strongest today. I’m more interested in who becomes indispensable when that field grows. That’s what interests me most at the intersection of blockchain and artificial intelligence. Today, people usually choose the blockchain. We look at the ecosystem, examine the developer tools, compare costs, and make a decision. But I think that behavior could change once agents start carrying out their own transactions. For an agent, being a popular blockchain won’t be enough. How quickly a network settles, how much a transaction costs, what assets it can access, and how reliably it can execute will matter. That’s why I don’t think the real competition between blockchain and artificial intelligence has even started yet. Because in the future, it won’t only matter which chains people choose. It will matter which chains machines repeatedly choose. And when a network starts being used continuously by a large number of agents, I don’t think that will be just a technical achievement. Usage itself could eventually become an economic advantage. When I look at projects in this space, this is the question I’m most interested in: When this technology grows, which infrastructure will it have no choice but to use? For an agent, being a popular blockchain won’t be enough. How quickly a network settles, how much a transaction costs, what assets it can access, and how reliably it can execute will matter.

That’s why I don’t think the real competition between blockchain and artificial intelligence has even started yet.

Because in the future, it won’t only matter which chains people choose.

It will matter which chains machines repeatedly choose.

And when a network starts being used continuously by a large number of agents, I don’t think that will be just a technical achievement.

Usage itself could eventually become an economic advantage.

When I look at projects in this space, this is the question I’m most interested in:

When this technology grows, which infrastructure will it have no choice but to use?

I think some of the opportunities that haven’t been fully priced in yet could be hidden in the answer to that question.

What interests me most about Binance Academy’s perspective here is that there isn’t a single blockchain that can simply be called “the best” for AI. Because I think the competition is about to move toward a very different question. As AI develops, not every network will need to do the same job. One structure may become stronger in compute, another in agent infrastructure, and another in high-frequency transactions. What I’m really interested in is this: As the AI economy grows, will value flow toward blockchain brands, or toward the specific infrastructure layers that this economy eventually can’t operate without? I don’t think that distinction is clear enough yet. Today, many projects are grouped together under the “AI + blockchain” narrative. But over the long term, I think the winners will come from the infrastructure solving problems AI actually needs.
