Demand for oil is falling at the fastest pace ever outside of Covid pandemic 🚨

The war in the Middle East has caused oil demand to collapse at a historic pace.

Oil demand is currently experiencing the sharpest decline on record outside of the pandemic collapse, according to S&P Global Energy.

S&P expects total demand for oil and petroleum products like gasoline and jet fuel to tumble by almost 5 million barrels per day this quarter.

The findings demonstrate “demand destruction,” the painful process where goods and services get so expensive that some consumers and businesses can no longer afford them.

Another factor: Energy supplies in some regions are so scarce that fuel rationing has begun. That means some people who are able and willing to pay for fuel at a high cost can’t access it.
