#Shinhan has signed a four-party memorandum of understanding with the #SolanaFoundation , #Etherfuse , and #Orca . The agreement covers a proof-of-concept for issuing and distributing a Korean won-denominated tokenized fund. The proposed structure would have overseas institutional investors buy Shinhan’s KRW ultra-short-term bond fund, with the holdings then issued as tokenized assets. The POC will assess KYC/AML frameworks, security audits, blockchain operations, regulatory compliance, and onchain liquidity design under domestic and international standards.
Laser Digital secures approval to offer crypto services in Japan
#LaserDigital became Japan’s first new crypto industry entrant in four years after its local subsidiary secured registration as a crypto asset exchange provider, ahead of the country’s planned shift to a financial-instruments regulatory framework. The firm will initially provide liquidity services to local virtual asset service providers. Deposits of these tokens will not be credited to users’ accounts after September 3rd at 03:00 UTC. Spot trading pairs and bots for the three tokens will be discontinued at the deadline. Holders should transfer their assets to self-custody or another platform before September 17th, when Binance will end support for these assets.
BitGo obtains a South Korean virtual asset license
#BitGo became the first global crypto firm to obtain a virtual asset service provider license in South Korea, opening access to institutional clients in one of the world's most active crypto markets. The company established BitGo Korea, expanding its regulated presence alongside existing entities in the U.S., Singapore, Germany, and Dubai. KoFIU’s approval allows it to provide virtual asset custody and transfer services to institutional and enterprise clients.

#Ripple raised $275M via an upsized private placement of senior unsecured notes via #RipplePrime , its non-bank prime brokerage. The proceeds will support working capital and general corporate needs, while KBRA rated the notes BBB, in line with the issuer rating assigned to Ripple Prime in April. The deal brings Ripple’s debt financing to roughly $475M over the past three months, including a $200M facility in May, as the company expands its multi-asset clearing, prime brokerage and financing services.
