$TIA is down 5.1 percent over twenty four hours at 0.6173, and the long side is where it shows.
The long short account ratio has gone from 2.0331 at 01:00 to 1.6596 now, down 18.4 percent in ten hours. Open interest has followed, from 46.03 million tokens yesterday at 10:00 to 43.22 million, a 6.1 percent fall after peaking at 46.64 million. Funding has settled negative on nine of the last twelve, including minus 0.0118 and minus 0.0087 percent, so shorts have been paying through this pullback rather than collecting on it.
The structure has not broken, which is the tension. The token printed 0.769 on 17 October, its highest in thirty days, and has spent the four sessions since between 0.5866 and 0.6657. Spot is 19.7 percent under that high and still 46.7 percent above the 0.4209 low of 1 October. The chart reads higher low, higher high, higher high, with 0.6333 directly overhead and 0.5048 the first support beneath the range.
Volume confirms neither side. The last twenty four hours traded 12.68 million against a thirty day average of 12.50 million, so 1.01x, after 40.81 million on 16 October and 29.18 million on 17 October.
Leverage is being taken off a chart that has not yet failed. The level that settles it is 0.6333, 2.6 percent above here.

$OP is up 4.6 percent at 0.1301, and it is the first session in four where anyone showed up.
The three sessions before this one traded 5.55, 4.36 and 4.24 million against a thirty day average of 9.53 million. The current rolling twenty four hours is 10.22 million, 1.07 times the average, across 103,876 trades.
That matters because of what came before it. On 13 October the token printed a 21.1 percent session and tagged 0.1610. Five of the six sessions between 14 and 19 October closed red, and the week is down 17.92 percent. The high of the whole thirty day window came the next day at 0.1625, and spot is 19.9 percent under it and 17.2 percent above the 0.1110 low of 8 October.
Funding says the same thing from the other side. Eight of the last twelve settlements were negative, including a run of four between minus 0.0097 and minus 0.0173 percent. The last two flipped positive at 0.0048 and 0.0085. Shorts were collecting through most of the slide and are paying now.
Open interest has not followed the bounce. It reads 148.1 million tokens against 147.9 million a day ago, flat, and 160.3 million thirty days ago. A 4.6 percent move on unchanged open interest means the bid came from spot, not from new leverage.
The structure turned on this candle, a higher high after a run of lower highs and lower lows, with 0.1259 underneath and 0.1476 the first real resistance above.

Tesla reports third quarter numbers tomorrow, Wednesday 21 October, after the US close, with the call at 5:30 p.m. Eastern. That is 21:30 UTC.
$TSLAB keeps quoting through that window. The underlying stock does not.
The catch sits in the hourly tape. In yesterday's 21:00 UTC hour, the exact window the release falls into, the token traded 33,533 dollars across 140 trades. Today, with the US cash session open, the 14:00 hour did 1.61 million across 8,150 trades. That is forty eight times the volume and fifty eight times the trade count. Weekends are thinner still: Saturday 10 October closed on 130,000 dollars against 3.66 million the Friday before.
Price is walking into the print. The token closed at 350.12 on 17 October, then 363.00, then 369.11, and trades at 375.76 now, 8.2 percent off the 347.25 low of 18 October. It is back inside the band it was rejected from on 16 October, with 382.69 sitting 1.8 percent overhead.
Derivatives are doing the opposite. Open interest on the perpetual peaked at 161,445 at 18:00 yesterday and reads 147,480 now, down 8.6 percent, and 6,700 of that came off between 14:00 and 16:00 UTC this afternoon while price was rising. The long short account ratio has slid from 2.6832 this morning to 2.4698. Funding has printed exactly zero on nine of the last twelve settlements, the only outlier a 0.2806 percent payment on 19 October.
Leverage is being taken off into the event rather than added. Whatever the number is, it lands in a book that ran 140 trades an hour at that time of night.

Longs on $ETC have paid on every one of the last eight funding settlements. The run goes from 0.0083 percent at 00:00 on 18 October through to 0.0091 percent at 08:00 today, with a 0.0100 percent print in the middle of it, and not a single negative settlement in three days.
Today it finally moved. The token trades at 7.9600, up 3.2 percent on the day, and it has pushed out of the 7.73 to 7.90 demand band it had not left since 13 October.
Open interest built through all of it. It went from 2.58M tokens at 00:00 to 2.66M now, up 3.1 percent, or 20.13M to 20.76M in dollar terms, while the long short account ratio sits at 1.3370, which is 57 accounts in 100 holding longs.
The volume says who is still not in the room. Spot turnover was 2.50M over 24 hours against a 30 day average of 5.04M, so 0.50x, across 10,079 trades. That works out to one trade every 8.6 seconds.
On the daily the structure is still lower high, lower low, lower high. The next resistance overhead is 8.56, the 7.43 of 18 October is the level underneath, and the 10.42 of 24 September sits 23.6 percent above.
Rank 57, a 1.23B cap, and three days of funding paid before the move showed up.
Funding on $PEPE has gone from paying longs to charging them the maximum in three days. Five consecutive settlements printed negative between 16:00 on 17 October and 00:00 on 19 October, the deepest at minus 0.0257 percent. Of the four settlements since, three came in at 0.0100 percent, which is the cap.
Positioning explains the shift. The long short account ratio reads 2.4165, which is 70 accounts in 100 holding longs, and it has not left the 2.38 to 2.46 band across the last ten hourly prints. Open interest followed, from 18,172M at 12:00 yesterday to 18,833M at 08:00 today, up 3.6 percent, or 74.30M to 78.60M in dollars.
What that positioning has bought so far is 1.7 percent. The token trades at 0.00000417 against a session high of 0.00000423, and spot turnover was 26.93M over 24 hours against a 30 day average of 37.08M, so 0.73x, across 94,835 trades. The crowd is leaning one way on less than three quarters of normal volume.
On the daily the structure is still lower high, lower low, lower high, and price sits just under equilibrium inside the supply band it has failed at since 12 October. The 0.00000536 of 22 September is 22.2 percent overhead. The 0.00000364 of 8 October is 14.6 percent below.
Rank 49, a 1.72B cap, and a funding bill that has run at the cap for three of the last four settlements.
Uniswap TVL went from 3.893B on 18 October to 4.197B today. That is 304M of net deposits in a single day and a 7.8 percent jump, the largest daily move in its deposit base this month.
The flow shows up downstream. Volume routed through the protocol hit 1.679B over 24 hours against 1.146B the day before, up 46.5 percent. Fees followed at 2,047,175 versus 1,802,619, up 13.6 percent. Protocol revenue went from 128,740 to 197,770, up 53.6 percent.
$UNI did not match that in proportion. The token is at 7.2710, up 3.6 percent on the day, but spot turnover was 30.54M against a 30 day average of 72.11M, so 0.42x, across 156,021 trades. The strongest day of protocol activity this month came with the thinnest token participation.
Derivatives lean the same way. Open interest peaked at 22.96M tokens at 14:00 UTC and has bled to 22.64M since, so the last stretch of the move ran on less leverage, not more. The long short account ratio moved from 1.5961 at 13:00 to 1.6532 now, 62 accounts in 100 long, and funding settled at 0.0059 percent at 16:00, the highest of the last eight settlements.
On the daily the structure is still lower high, lower low. Price is 33.6 percent under the 10.942 of 23 September and is pressing 7.90 from below, with the demand band at 6.74 holding since 13 October.
Rank 22, a 4.506B cap, and 110.05M of fees over the last thirty days against 8.88M that reached the protocol itself.
Bitcoin tagged 83,158 this morning and spent exactly two hourly candles out of the last seventy two above 83,000. It is back at 81,931 now, up 0.94 percent on the day, and the last daily close above that line was 13 October at 83,169.
$ZEC did five times more and did all of it before Europe was awake. It ran from 1,056.13 at 20:00 UTC yesterday to 1,178.46 by 03:00, 11.6 percent in seven hours, on three consecutive hourly bars of 27.95, 27.43 and 29.88 million dollars, the heaviest of the window. It has not made a new high since, and the 1,191.76 top of that run still sits under the 16 October high.
The positioning is the part worth reading. Open interest did not expand into the move: 465,997 tokens at 15:00 UTC yesterday, 454,398 now, 2.5 percent lower, so the rally closed shorts rather than opening longs. The long short account ratio only reacted at 15:00, jumping from 0.7544 to 0.8057, its highest of the day, after seven hours pinned between 0.7544 and 0.7609, and it has already handed most of that back at 0.7615. Funding printed 0.0100 percent at 08:00 and 0.0087 percent at 16:00, two of today's three settlements at or near the cap.
Turnover came to 226.02 million against a 30 day average of 245.95 million, across 741,853 trades. The token is still 32.9 percent below the 1,698 it printed on 26 September, and 16,924,251 of the 21 million supply cap is mined.
Stablecoins living on Tron are worth 94.47 billion dollars, 31.3 percent of the 302.03 billion circulating across every chain and second only to Ethereum at 144.04 billion. $TRX, the token that pays for settling all of it, travelled 0.67 percent from low to high today.
That stablecoin float is 17 times the 5.55 billion of DeFi TVL sitting on the same chain, and 3.0 times the token's own 31.5 billion market cap. Chain TVL has gone nowhere in a month: 5.55 billion today against 5.54 billion on 19 September, after 4.81 billion on 21 July.
Fees say the same thing. The network collected 554,976 dollars over the last 24 hours against a seven day pace of 828,784 per day and a thirty day pace of 780,467, so 0.67 times the weekly run rate. That monthly pace annualises to 284.9 million against a 31.5 billion cap.
Positioning is unwinding quietly underneath. The long short account ratio has fallen for twelve consecutive hourly readings, from 1.5504 at 00:00 UTC to 1.2753 at 12:00. Open interest slipped from 254.57 million tokens yesterday afternoon to 250.16 million, worth 82.88 million against 84.76 million at that peak. Funding settled at minus 0.0014 percent at 08:00 today, after three straight prints of 0.0100 percent on 17 October.
Spot volume is 26.74 million over 24 hours against a 30 day average of 28.57 million, across 59,238 trades, with price at 0.3320 and all 95.00 billion tokens already circulating.
The monthly high of 0.3493 was printed on 22 September.

The Nasdaq 100 closed the week 5.49 percent lower while the Dow added 0.67 percent, a 6.16 percentage point spread that is the widest weekly gap between the two since the week of 22 July 2002. $DOT lost 9.53 percent over those same five sessions, and the timing does not line up at all.
Polkadot did its damage early. The 12 October close was 6.93 percent below the 11 October close, at a point when the Nasdaq was only 0.71 percent off its Friday level. The index then fell 2.02 percent on 14 October and 2.50 percent on 16 October, its worst session of the week, and $DOT closed that same day 2.96 percent higher at 1.184.
Today, with equities shut, the unwind arrived. Price is 1.1410 after a low of 1.1030, down 1.30 percent on 8.04 million of spot volume against a 30 day average of 13.58 million, so 0.59 times a normal day across 57,663 trades.
The positioning is what moved. Open interest peaked at 33.23 million tokens at 05:00 UTC and is now 32.08 million, down 3.5 percent, worth 36.53 million against 39.77 million at that peak. The long short account ratio slid from 2.3956 at 12:00 UTC to 2.0358 at 21:00, nine straight hourly readings lower. Funding printed 0.0100 percent twice on 16 October, then 0.0088, then 0.0016, then minus 0.0099 percent at 16:00 today, the first negative settlement since 15 October.
Market cap is 1.95 billion at rank 42, with all 1.708 billion tokens circulating. The monthly low of 1.009 was printed on 8 October.

$TIA printed 0.7690 overnight, its highest level since 20 November 2025, and has handed back 13.1 percent of it since.
The sequence, hour by hour: 0.6746, 0.6885, 0.6875, 0.6909, 0.7040, 0.7343, 0.7503, 0.7426, 0.7373, 0.7282, 0.7199, 0.7140, 0.6692 and 0.6683. Six hours up, six hours back.
Volume says the move was real. 41.1 million dollars over twenty four hours against a 10.9 million thirty day average, 3.9 times a normal session, across 623,456 trades. The two heaviest hours were the two at the top, 2.77 and 2.98 million.
Leverage followed at a distance. Open interest went from 44.5 million tokens to a peak of 52.3 million and reads 47.2 million now, up 6.1 percent over the day and 9.9 percent below its own high. Funding never got excited about any of it: +0.0014, +0.0050, +0.0037, -0.0037, +0.0009 and -0.0048 percent across the last six settlements.
The long short account ratio sits at 1.37, down from 1.45 four hours ago. Taker flow spent the retrace under 1.00, the last reading 0.70.
Size check, since the move is large and the base is not. Market capitalisation is 615.6 million dollars for rank 83, with 919.9 million tokens circulating out of 1.169 billion, so fully diluted value is 782.0 million. The 41.1 million traded today is 6.7 percent of the float's value changing hands in a day.
For scale: the token closed 0.4729 on 10 October and 0.6885 yesterday. It is up 89.2 percent over thirty days and trades 96.2 percent above the 30 day low of 0.3407, printed on 17 September.

$CFX is up 19.7 percent over thirty days while the Conflux chain lost 11 percent of its total value locked over the same window.
The on chain side first. Value locked on the network is 6.49 million dollars, against 7.52 million seven days ago and 7.29 million thirty days ago, so down 13.7 percent on the week alone. Stablecoins on the chain total 20.19 million. The token's market capitalisation is 296.3 million, forty five times the value locked on the chain it belongs to.
The market side. Price is 0.05656, down 1.7 percent on the day, inside a 0.05523 to 0.05835 range. Volume is 4.0 million against a 3.8 million thirty day average, 1.05 times a normal session across 69,055 trades. The week's move is already behind it: 0.05072 on 9 October, then 0.06168 and 0.06729 on the tenth and eleventh, then 0.05732 on the twelfth.
Leverage is leaving while longs keep paying for it. Open interest went from 146.4 million tokens to 137.5 million over twenty four hours, down 6.1 percent, and the last three funding settlements printed +0.0096, +0.0100 and +0.0096 percent. Taker flow sat below 0.90 in six of the last eight hours, the lowest reading 0.53.
The hour that held the September CPI release was the heaviest hour of this session too, 580 thousand dollars against a 100 thousand baseline, and the hour after it closed 0.05582.
Price is 22.3 percent under the 30 day high of 0.07280 and 30.5 percent above the 30 day low of 0.04335.

The hour the September CPI crossed the wire was the heaviest hour $BAT traded all day, and it closed 5.1 percent lower.
The print, 8:30 New York time: headline CPI at plus 0.65 percent month over month seasonally adjusted and 3.72 percent year over year, core at plus 0.33 percent monthly and 2.57 percent annual. The Cleveland Fed nowcast published on 7 October had the headline at 3.60 and core at 2.39, so both lines landed above it.
The tape around the release. The 12:00 UTC candle opened 0.1907 and closed 0.1809 on 930 thousand dollars of volume, the largest hourly turnover of the session. The next hour closed 0.1758. Two hours, 7.8 percent, and price has not printed above 0.1816 since.
The context that makes it readable: the token came into today up 67.3 percent on the week and 119.6 percent over thirty days. Volume over 24 hours is 18.1 million against a 2.9 million thirty day average, 6.3 times normal, across 250,123 trades.
Positioning has been short all day. The long short account ratio reads 0.78, 0.79, 0.78, 0.75, 0.77 and 0.93 over the last twenty four hours, so there are fewer long accounts than short ones in a token that doubled in a month. Open interest fell from 90.6 million to 80.7 million tokens, down 10.8 percent, and funding went from plus 0.0052 percent yesterday afternoon to minus 0.342 percent at midnight before settling back to minus 0.0149.
The day opened at 0.1974, printed 0.2073 and trades at 0.1709, which is 17.6 percent under that high.

$ETH is trading at 2502.1, and the 2500 line has been crossed in both directions all night rather than broken. The last twelve hourly closes read 2497.9, 2507.9, 2506.5, 2514.6, 2513.6, 2515.0, 2503.7, 2505.1, 2511.6, 2506.1, 2497.0, 2497.6. An 18 dollar band for twelve hours.
That stillness has a reason on the calendar. September CPI prints today at 8:30 New York time. The last reading, for August, came in at plus 0.4 percent month over month and 3.4 percent year over year, with core at plus 0.3 percent monthly and 2.4 percent annual. Those are the numbers the market is comparing against in about two hours.
What the positioning looks like going in:
Spot volume over 24 hours is 408.6 million against a 727.3 million average over the last 30 days. That is 0.56x normal activity, in a session that ends with a macro print.
Open interest fell 1.3 percent over the same 24 hours, to 2.28 million contracts, while the long to short account ratio went the other way: 2.61, 2.58, 2.58, 2.66, 2.72, 2.78. More accounts are leaning long while total leverage comes down, which means the average position is getting smaller.
Funding is marginally negative at minus 0.0013 percent.
The options market is less relaxed than the tape. The 30 day implied volatility index for this asset sits at 51.9, up from 49.4 on 12 October. That prices a daily move of roughly 2.7 percent, while realised range over the last twelve hours has been 0.7 percent.
Price is 10.9 percent below its 30 day high of 2807.3 and 6.1 percent above the 30 day low of 2358.9.
Follow me for daily positioning and on-chain breakdowns.
$ETC is the most searched non stablecoin asset on this platform's six hour list right now, and its 24 hour volume is 2.9 million against a 5.1 million average over the last 30 days. That is 0.56x normal activity, across 22,474 trades. Search interest went up while turnover went down.
The reason is on the calendar. September CPI prints tomorrow, 14 October, at 8:30 New York time, and the whole market is standing still in front of it. The previous reading came in at plus 0.4 percent month over month and was published on 11 September.
Three measurements from the wait:
Bitcoin dominance is at 59.8 percent, up from 58.97 percent on 5 October, the highest reading of the last ten days. Total crypto market value is 2.80 trillion, down 2.71 percent in 24 hours. $ETC accounts for 1.29 billion of that total, so 0.046 percent of the market, and it ranks 55th.
Open interest fell 1.9 percent over 24 hours, from 2.70 million to 2.65 million contracts, while funding stayed positive at plus 0.0044 percent. Leverage is being reduced, slowly, and the longs still pay to hold.
The long to short account ratio has barely moved: 1.13, 1.18, 1.16, 1.16, 1.16, 1.15 across the last 24 hours. Near parity, while the large alts I track read between 2.37 and 2.58 accounts long for every short at the same moment.
Taker flow over the last six hours reads 1.24, 0.72, 0.63, 0.87, 0.90, 1.15, so buyers came back only in the last hour.
Price is 8.16, down 1.09 percent on the day, down 7.8 percent on the week, still up 9.7 percent over 30 days and 21.8 percent below its 30 day high of 10.42.

The September CPI prints tomorrow at 8:30 New York time. The last one, August, came in at 0.4% month on month and was published on September 11. Here is how $ETH is positioned into it, measured right now.
Start with what the options market thinks. Thirty day implied volatility on ether has run 49.2, 50.4, 50.7, 51.9, 51.6 over the last three sessions. At 51.6 annualised, that prices a daily move of roughly 2.7%, so the print is being marked as an event rather than a formality.
Spot is not confirming that yet. Price sits at 2,503, down 1.50% on the day, inside a 2,409 to 2,543 range. Volume on the main pair was 755.0 million against a 723.5 million thirty day average, so 1.05 times a normal session across 3.92 million trades. An ordinary Tuesday.
Leverage has not moved either. Open interest on the perpetual is 2.30 million ether, down 0.1% over twenty four hours. Funding is 0.0027%, flat. Nobody added size and nobody was forced out.
Positioning is where the risk actually sits. The long short account ratio ran 2.79, 3.03, 3.03, 2.64, 2.61 across the last twenty hours. That is close to three accounts long for every one short, going into a scheduled macro print, with price already 10.8% below the thirty day high of 2,807 and down 7.2% on the week.
Three measured facts line up: implied volatility is bid, leverage is static, and the account base is crowded on one side. The side with the most positions left to unwind is the long side.
Levels into tomorrow: 2,543 caps the day, 2,409 is the floor, 2,358 is the thirty day low. The print lands at 8:30 and those are the levels it walks into.
Follow for daily breakdowns on what moves and why.
Bitcoin tagged 84,168 this morning and lost the level within the hour. The detail worth reading is what did not happen next: open interest never moved.
The range first. The last twenty four hours ran 81,033 to 84,168, a 3.9% swing top to bottom, and price sits at 83,622, up 0.07%. A full round trip for no net change.
Now the leverage. Open interest on the perpetual was 94,052 BTC a day ago and is 94,090 now, a 0.04% difference. Volume on the main pair was 1,264.2 million against a 1,291.4 million thirty day average, so 0.98 times a normal session, spread over 3.03 million trades. A 3,100 point swing on average volume with flat open interest is rotation in spot, not new leverage arriving.
Positioning says the same thing from the other side. The long short account ratio ran 1.47, 1.49, 1.50, 1.45, 1.29 over the last twenty hours, so accounts trimmed longs into the strength instead of adding to it. Taker flow turned with the price: the buy sell ratio printed 1.15, 1.26, 1.21 and then 0.84, 0.97, 0.75 as the 84K test failed. Funding is 0.0083%, flat.
The cost of that flat Bitcoin tape shows up elsewhere. Total crypto market cap is down 3.67% over the same twenty four hours while $BTC is unchanged, and dominance sits at 59.8%. The three most searched assets on this platform right now are down 3.5%, 11.5% and 4.8% on the day. Bitcoin is the only line on that list that did not move.
Where that leaves the chart. The thirty day high is 87,396 and price is 4.2% under it. 84,168 is the level that just rejected, the last swing low is 81,033, and the thirty day return is still positive at 8.6%.

The Financial Stability Board published its stablecoin monitoring note today, three days before the G20 finance meeting on October 15, and the finding is blunt: crisis management frameworks for global stablecoins are largely untested under severe stress or insolvency.
The gap is jurisdictional. In the FSB's 2025 review, only 11 of 28 surveyed jurisdictions had finalised a stablecoin framework. Reserves can sit in one country while redemptions land in another. Chair Andrew Bailey's letter calls for information sharing and failure planning, and none of it is binding.
Here is what that looks like in practice, measured today. Ethena's synthetic dollar has 4.74 billion outstanding and it lives on 31 chains at once. It is not a bank reserve product, so most of the rulebooks the FSB surveyed do not describe it at all. For scale, the largest dollar token sits at 184 billion across 130 chains and the second at 72.8 billion across 157. The sector the FSB sizes near 300 billion, 99% of it dollar pegged, is spread across more chains than there are finalised national frameworks.
$ENA itself did not like the day. It is down 8.18% at 0.2188, and the detail that matters is that the fall came on 54.4 million of volume against a 53.4 million thirty day average. That is an ordinary day, so this is repricing, not forced selling.
Positioning leaned the other way. The long short account ratio moved 1.47, 1.49, 1.63, 1.65 while price was falling, so accounts were adding longs into it, and it sits at 1.59 now. Funding is 0.0044%, flat. Open interest is 554.2 million tokens.
The protocol is still producing: 17.86 million in fees over the last thirty days, 245.4 million over the last year.
Levels: support at today's low of 0.2179, then 0.2146. Overhead sits at today's high of 0.2474, with the thirty day high at 0.2946. The next date on this file is the G20 meeting on October 15.

Argentina just told its banks to keep waiting, and the tape did not blink.
Juan Curutchet, superintendent of financial entities at the central bank, said at the Pulso 2026 event on October 7 that nothing changes this year. The restriction itself is old: Communication A 7506 closed crypto to banks in 2022, and A 7759 extended it to wallets like Mercado Pago in 2023. Local reporting ties any reopening to the 2027 election cycle, which pushes a rule change out to 2028.
This is not a small market being shut out. Chainalysis counted 93.9 billion dollars of crypto transaction volume in Argentina between July 2022 and June 2025, the second largest total in Latin America.
Now the part the thread is missing. BTC closed at 83,321 on October 7, the day of the statement, and trades at 83,657 now. That is 0.4% across five sessions. The heavy session that week, 1,745 million on the USDT pair, belonged to a market wide drawdown that carried price to 80,393 the next morning. It was not a reaction to Buenos Aires.
What the tape is actually doing is going quiet. 579.6 million traded over the last 24 hours against a 1,306 million thirty day average, so 44% of a normal day. Today held a range of 82,805 to 84,199 inside a thirty day band of 74,968 to 87,396, with the nearest overhead swing at 86,999 and the last defended low at 80,394.
Derivatives agree. Funding sits at 0.0015%, open interest at 92,336 BTC, and long short accounts slipped from 1.48 to 1.39 over the session. Nobody is paying up to hold either side.
Access through a banking channel was never where this bid came from, and the five sessions since October 7 are the evidence. The next real checkpoint on the Argentine file is the 2027 election, which is when the central bank itself said the question comes back.

Ether ETFs just closed a ninth straight session of outflows, and the number everyone is quoting is the wrong one.
The last session saw 56.1M leave, with BlackRock's ETHA leading the redemptions. Across the full nine day streak the reported total lands somewhere between 542M and 697M depending on which tracker you read.
The headline doing the rounds says 2B was wiped off net assets. Most of that is not redemption. ETH closed at 2,706.42 on October 1 and trades at 2,544.57 now, down 5.98% over exactly those nine sessions. A fund that holds ether loses value when ether falls, without a single share being sold. Separating the two is the whole exercise: between 1.3B and 1.46B of that drop is price, not exit.
Now the part that does not fit the narrative. On the perpetual, the account level long short ratio is 3.01. Three long accounts for every short one, and it has not dropped below 2.95 in the last twenty hours. Institutions are redeeming while retail sits heavily long on the other side of the same asset.
Funding is 0.0017%, basically flat, so that long skew costs almost nothing to carry. That is why it has not been flushed out.
Volume backs up the quiet: 493.3M on the USDT pair over 24 hours against a 750.8M thirty day average, so 66% of a normal day. Open interest is 2.31M ETH.
Price is holding 2,544, above the 2,500 line this topic is named after, inside a thirty day range of 2,358.88 to 2,807.34. Support sits at 2,406, with 2,636 and then 2,777 overhead.

AERO is up 15.1% today and the reason is dated, public and eleven days out.
The conversion terms for the Aerodrome and Velodrome merger were published today. The merged protocol goes live on October 21 across seven chains: Base, Ethereum, Arbitrum, OP Mainnet, Ink, Arc and Robinhood Chain. AERO converts one for one. The Velodrome side converts at roughly 0.044. Holders of the bridged Velodrome token have until October 15 to move it back.
The tape treats this as new information. The USDT pair did 9.2M over 24 hours against a 5.6M thirty day average, so 1.66 times normal. Price ran from 0.7961 to 0.9364 and sits at 0.9202, through the 0.8906 swing high and just under the 30 day high at 0.932. Over seven days it is up 8.53%.
Positioning leans the same way. The long short account ratio moved 1.24, 1.41, 1.46, 1.54 over the last sixteen hours, so longs are being added into strength. Funding is still only 0.005%, so the book is not crowded yet. Open interest sits at 52.3M tokens.
Here is the part the headline skips. Over the last 30 days Aerodrome produced 11.73M in fees, all of it routed to holders, including 238,000 in the last 24 hours. The Velodrome side produced 120,261 over those same 30 days, about 1% of the combined output. The merger is not buying revenue. It is buying distribution: a protocol that earns everything it earns on one chain is about to run on seven, and its home chain alone holds 6.2B in TVL.
Resistance is the 30 day high at 0.932. Support is the strong low at 0.7693.
