BingX EU obtains Austrian MiCA license to operate across 29 EEA markets

#BingXEU has secured a Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation #MiCA license from Austria’s Financial Market Authority, allowing it to provide regulated crypto services across 29 European Economic Area (EEA) countries, subject to passporting requirements. #BingX EU has yet to launch its services and is coordinating with Austria’s FMA and other European regulators to prepare for rollout.

EBA designates Circle’s USDC as the EU’s first significant E-money token

The European Banking Authority #EBA classified $USDC as a “significant” e-money token under the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation on Wednesday, making it the first of 45 notified EMTs to reach that status. From November 12, the EBA will directly supervise USDC’s own funds, reserve assets, liquidity requirements, and recovery and redemption plans, taking over these responsibilities from France’s ACPR. The French regulator will retain oversight of governance, qualifying holdings, fit-and-proper assessments, and conflicts of interest.

The EBA also signed a memorandum of understanding with the New York State Department of Financial Services, which regulates #Circle ’s operations in New York, to facilitate cross-border supervision and information sharing.
