I UNDERPAID A P2P ORDER BY 40,000 VND.

MY FIRST THOUGHT WAS: “IT’S ONLY 40K. DOES IT REALLY MATTER?”

The Binance P2P order was:

25,840,000 VND.

I transferred:

25,800,000 VND.

I didn’t notice it until the seller messaged:

“You’re 40,000 VND short.”

I checked my banking app.

He was right.

And this is the embarrassing part: my first reaction was not “I made a mistake.”

It was:

40,000 VND on a 25-million-VND trade is tiny. Can’t we just ignore it?

For a moment I even thought about asking the seller to release slightly less USDT and call it even.

That would have been convenient.

It also would have created a different deal from the order sitting in front of us.

So I stopped trying to solve my mistake with mental math.

The order said 25,840,000 VND.
My payment said 25,800,000 VND.

At that moment the payment simply wasn’t complete yet.

I kept the conversation inside the Binance P2P order instead of moving it somewhere private or asking the seller to improvise. I kept the Order ID and bank record and followed the official process for resolving the short payment, with Appeal/Support available if we couldn’t resolve it properly.

Escrow also meant the seller didn’t need to release crypto while the payment amount was still unresolved.

Before trading I still check the profile, terms and payment details. But this one taught me something I hadn’t really thought about before.

A payment mistake doesn’t have to be large to change the state of an order.

Mine was only 40,000 VND.

The important part wasn’t how small the difference looked to me.

It was whether I fixed my mistake inside the same order instead of inventing a new deal to make the numbers fit.
