Nillion just built a trading instruction that stays invisible until the exact moment it fires. Thats the part of Covenants that actually got me.

Normally when you post a limit order or a conditional trade onchain, anyone watching can see your intent before it executes. Covenants flip that. You post an encrypted instruction tied to a specific condition, price hits X, time passes Y, and nobody, not other traders, not bots, not the network itself, can read it until that condition is actually met. Once it triggers, it resolves. Until then it just sits there, sealed.

Dusk is the first live phase of this, and its not theoretical anymore. It hit Ethereum mainnet, contracts deployed, nodes bootstrapped, real applications running on top. Thats the part I respect, they shipped the testnet, then a live testnet app, then mainnet, on schedule.

This is not Nillion's first attempt at privacy either. Before Covenants, the whole network was built around blind computation, letting nodes process encrypted data without ever decrypting it. Covenants feels like that same philosophy applied to trading instead of data, hide the sensitive part, reveal only what has to be revealed, only when it has to be.

What excites me most looking at the full seven phase roadmap is not Dusk itself, its what Covenants becomes once Darkfall and Skyglow extend this across multiple chains instead of just Ethereum. Hidden intent is useful on one chain. It gets genuinely powerful once it works the same way everywhere.
