🔥 Base’s daily on‑chain volume hit $975 M — a full 100 % of Bitcoin’s 24‑hour turnover and the biggest L2 surge since 2023. 📊 That spike arrives as Base, Coinbase’s optimism‑rollup, doubles down on zero‑knowledge tech by integrating Succinct’s SP1 VM, turning the L2 into a privacy‑first scaling engine. 💡 Smart money is already reallocating: BTC futures open interest sits at $7.77 B with funding +0.0030% and a 1.81 L/S ratio, while ETH OI climbs to $5.54 B, signaling institutional appetite for ZK‑enhanced derivatives — #Base #ZK #CryptoLiquidity are now on the radar of #institutional traders. 🚀 Watch the $81,412 BTC level and the $2,389 ETH threshold; a breach above $81.5K or $2,400 could trigger a cascade of ZK‑driven inflows into Base, pushing its TVL past $10 B — #Layer2 breakout. ❓ If zero‑knowledge rollups are the next liquidity engine, will you position now or watch the whales siphon the upside?

The Aero upgrade portal will open at 00:00 UTC on October 22. What the market should really be watching isn’t the word “merger,” but whether liquidity on OP can migrate smoothly to Base. The migration ratio for $VELODROME is fixed at 1:0.044 $AERO; locked veVELO must be converted cross-chain into sAERO on Base, a much more complicated process than a regular spot swap. Binance has announced the next steps: VELODROME/USDT trading will be delisted at 03:00 UTC on November 3, and deposits and withdrawals for both tokens will be suspended at 03:30. After the merger, AERO’s total supply will increase from 2 billion to 2.12 billion, and its circulating supply from 1 billion to 1.07 billion. Existing AERO spot trading will be unaffected, but whether liquidity and locked tokens migrate in sync will determine if the unified token can truly command a valuation based on “cross-chain revenue.” A bullish signal would be simultaneous improvements in trading volume, fees, and liquidity on Base and OP after the upgrade. A steady outcome would mean the portal and exchange migrations proceed on schedule. Bearish signals would include cross-chain delays, persistently widening conversion spreads, or new supply outpacing revenue validation. Which data would you watch first: fees, locked-token migration, or the order books on both chains? #DeFi #Base #Optimism For informational purposes only; this is not investment advice.

🟦 Base Meme Summit Returns: The Official Platforming Memes—A Signal or Just Hype? On October 20, Base officially announced that its community-led Meme Summit is back, describing it as “a community event for meme coins on Base.” 🔹 Time: October 22 at 15:30 UTC (23:30 Beijing time on October 22), livestreaming on X 🔹 Agenda: Interviews with meme project leads, announcements from the Base team, and community Q&A 🔹 The official post currently has about 377 likes and 119 replies. Quite a few people are showing off pixel-art “attendee cards” generated at hello.base.org/meme-summit 🔹 Some projects are already riding the wave: one team claims that more than 20 Base projects are joining forces to release 10,000 “lucky bags,” with minting set to begin on summit day. They’re also touting a whitelist at half price. My take: An L2’s official team dedicating a livestream to memes shows that blockchains are competing not just for developers, but also for “attention” and community sentiment. But providing a platform doesn’t mean an official endorsement. What’s really worth listening to is what the Base team announces—not whoever shouts the loudest on stage. One more reminder: “limited-time whitelists,” collaborative lucky bags, and phishing links tend to pop up around events like this. Double-check official accounts before minting, and don’t click unfamiliar links when emotions are running high. Would you stay up late to catch the livestream? Do you think it’s a good thing for L2s to embrace memes, or does it just fuel speculation? #Base #Meme币 #L2 #CryptoCommunity

🤖 AI is spending your money—and it’s already made 138 million payments According to Chainalysis’s North America crypto report published on October 14, as of September this year, the x402 protocol on Base had processed more than 138 million AI Agent payments. Including Solana and other chains, the ecosystem total reached 165 million payments, worth over $50 million. x402 is a use of an “obscure status code” that Coinbase revived last year: when an AI Agent hits a paywall while calling an API, the server returns a 402 status code with the price and payment address, and the Agent’s wallet automatically signs and settles the payment in USDC. No registration, no API key, no human involvement—just one HTTP request, one on-chain transfer, and one machine-to-machine transaction. What are these Agents buying? Model inference is the biggest category (about $0.02 per Q&A and $0.08 per code generation, with U.S. wallets accounting for 88%); data and search APIs come next. Unexpectedly, code auditing is another major category: Chinese wallets account for about 90% of its transaction volume, driven mainly by AgentLISA, an automated smart contract auditing service. 87% of payments are just 0.01 to 10 cents each—far too small for traditional credit cards to handle, while settlement on Base costs less than a cent. Visa, Mastercard, and Stripe have all announced support for x402. The total is only $50 million, and the share of genuine demand is still being tested, but this is the first time crypto has reached a scalable use case that “doesn’t depend on speculation.” Will the next wave of real users be humans or AI? 🚨 BASE SURPASSES SOLANA IN TVL 🔥 A notable turning point in the blockchain race! On October 14, 2026, aggregated data from DefiLlama recorded Base at around $6.25 billion in TVL, surpassing Solana at around $6.06 billion. The nearly $190 million gap shows that the liquidity race is extremely close. 📊 One notable driver is tokenized stocks—stocks represented on the blockchain. According to Crypto Briefing on October 8, Base recorded $500 million in trading volume the previous week. However, it has not been confirmed that all of this volume came from tokenized stocks. 💰 Why does this matter? Base could benefit as traditional financial assets move onto the blockchain, generating additional demand for trading and DeFi liquidity. However, rising TVL does not necessarily mean a corresponding increase in new capital flows, since asset prices also affect this metric. 🔎 Market outlook: If TVL, actual trading volume, and protocol revenue all rise, Base has a basis for strengthening its position. Conversely, weakening liquidity could cause the rankings to shift. Is Base becoming the new on-chain financial hub, or will Solana quickly reclaim its position? #Base #Solana #RWA

On October 13, Base, Coinbase’s Ethereum Layer 2 network, announced the launch of an end-to-end Earn & Borrow technology stack, enabling apps and platforms to integrate stablecoin yields and crypto-collateralized borrowing into their products. Eligible users can deposit supported stablecoins such as $USDC to earn floating yields through third-party lending markets on Base. They can also borrow liquidity against their crypto assets without selling their holdings. Yields primarily come from interest paid by overcollateralized borrowers, and deposits can also be routed into specific markets through optional vaults. The solution connects to independent lending protocols such as Morpho and Aave, with vault risk parameters set by independent curators; Base and Coinbase do not curate, manage, or guarantee any vaults. The official website reports an average annualized yield of approximately 4.45% for dollar-denominated stablecoins in Base lending markets, excluding incentives, as of the date shown. On the same day, Coinbase’s CEO said the capability had been validated in the Coinbase app and is now available through Base for more platforms to integrate. Integrating parties can choose their wallet and custody model. Rates, liquidity, liquidations, and eligibility vary by protocol, curator, integrating platform, and jurisdiction. $ETH ecosystem apps can use this to offer on-chain ways to earn yield and borrow, beyond simply holding assets. #ETH #Base #USDC This is not investment advice.

Base launches Earn & Borrow: App directly integrates stablecoin yields and collateralized lendingCoinbase-incubated L2 Base has packaged “earning yield + borrowing” into an end-to-end stack for apps—not by launching another lending protocol, but by integrating existing markets into the product. The official site puts it plainly: the platform uses Base infrastructure and third-party lending markets to offer eligible users floating stablecoin yields and liquidity borrowed against crypto collateral, without having to sell their holdings first. $USDC is given as an example for deposits; Morpho and Aave are named at the protocol layer; and independent curators set the vault risk parameters. A year ago, the value of assets locked in Solana DeFi was $11.0 billion, compared with $4.75 billion on Base. Today, each stands at around $6.25 billion, according to DefiLlama. Solana is down 43% over the year, while Base is up 32%. By our calculations, the gap between them was $6.2 billion. Solana’s decline helped narrow it by $4.7 billion, or about 76%. Base’s growth accounted for the remaining $1.5 billion reduction. Price explains much of Solana’s position. SOL closed near $178 on October 11 last year, and now trades at around $112, down 37%. Base, by contrast, grew while ETH fell from around $3,750 to $2,537 over the same period. The gap is small enough to change from one day to the next. DefiLlama’s daily reading on October 11 showed Base ahead by less than $1 million. Live figures, however, showed Solana ahead by around $14 million at 02:49 UTC+8. Before that October 11 reading, the last time Base had surpassed Solana was on October 11, 2023—exactly three years earlier—when the value of assets locked on each was around $0.3 billion. $6 Million Vanished in 19 Minutes — And the Vault Was Perfectly Secure the Whole Time Nothing was hacked here. That's what makes this incident genuinely unsettling. A DeFi vault on Base, Coinbase's Ethereum layer-2 network, lost roughly 1,783 wstETH — about $6 million — on October 4. Security researchers confirmed Aave V3's core contracts weren't breached. The Base network wasn't compromised. Every system worked exactly as designed. Here's what actually happened instead: the vault used a 3-of-7 multisig wallet, meaning three authorized signers had to approve any change. Somehow, a freshly deployed contract got added to the vault's borrower whitelist — the approved list of who's allowed to pull funds. Once whitelisted, that malicious contract simply borrowed aBaswstETH and redeemed it through Aave's own legitimate mechanism for real wstETH. Six separate transactions, 19 minutes total. The uncomfortable part security researchers keep repeating: whether this was a compromised signing device, a signer tricked into approving something they didn't fully understand, or deliberate internal action remains officially unconfirmed. On-chain data also shows the project team hadn't executed any treasury transactions for 25 days beforehand — raising questions about whether this vault was even being actively monitored. This is the fourth Aave-linked or Base-related security incident in a single week, and roughly $31.7 million in assets reportedly remain at risk in the same compromised vault. The lesson here isn't "avoid DeFi." It's that access control — who gets added to a whitelist, and how carefully that decision gets verified — is becoming just as critical a security layer as the smart contract code itself. Does an exploit like this worry you more because nothing was technically "broken," or does that actually make it feel less random and more preventable? 👇 #Base #Aave #ETH #zyverra #CryptoSecurity

🔥 A $6 million vault was drained: the multisig approved it twice, and the hacker walked away with the funds ▸ On October 4, 1,783 wstETH—worth about $6 million—was withdrawn from a DeFi vault on Base ▸ The attacker first added a newly deployed contract to the vault’s Safe multisig whitelist, then borrowed aBaswstETH, redeemed it, and transferred it out ▸ The most alarming part: the multisig approved the whitelist change twice, each time with 3 valid signatures—and the approvals were less than 2 minutes apart 💡 Multisigs protect the “process,” not the “content”—what you sign matters more than how many people sign. Always check what you’re authorizing before signing anything on-chain. Wallets with risk alerts, like Cat Wallet, can give you an extra warning before you approve a dangerous transaction. #Web3安全 #DeFi #Base #HackerAttack
