What if the future of Artificial Intelligence's not about being smart but about being trustworthy?
Lately I have noticed something that I think is really interesting. People are getting more comfortable sharing things with Artificial Intelligence tools than they would on social media. We ask Artificial Intelligence for advice on things like business ideas, money and even things that we would not talk about in public.
There is one thing that keeps bothering me:
Who actually owns the conversations we have with Artificial Intelligence?
This is why I started looking into OpenGradient.
Most Artificial Intelligence projects try to be better by being faster or having features. OpenGradient is doing things differently. Of asking us to just trust big companies it is trying to make a system where our privacy and control are part of the way it works.
The truth is simple. We will not use Artificial Intelligence just because it is smart. We will use it if we feel safe doing so. If people are not sure what happens to their information even the best Artificial Intelligence will have a time getting them to trust it.
That is what makes this so interesting. OpenGradient is not just trying to make the Artificial Intelligence. It is asking if Artificial Intelligence can really be helpful without taking our control.@OpenGradient
