To access the official Trezor cold wallet page, the first thing you do is type and search in Google the keyword “Trezor.” This might seem normal and safe if it weren’t for the “sponsored pages” that appear as the first result.
When you click the first result (in this case, a sponsored page), it takes you to a fake Trezor page hosted on Google Sites. Once the victims click on this fake site, it asks them to enter their seed phrase to restore their wallets. That’s how, when victims enter the seed phrase, they lose all their funds.
Trezor noticed this and issues an alert message to its users, stating that you should never share your seed phrase with anyone, and also urging you to be wary of sponsored pages and always verify that you’re using an official website.
