$MINA I’m more biased long, but I won’t chase around 0.107. From 22:00, a full hour of spot trading moved from 0.0971 to 0.1057, with about $1.98 million in volume—5.7 times the previous hour. Then it pulled back to 0.1021 without breaking. At 00:00 it recovered again and closed at 0.1058. The Mesa mainnet upgrade has just been implemented, and the narrative is picking up, but 0.1076–0.1105 is still hard resistance.

Derivatives are more tangled: over the last 4 hours, OI (open interest) increased by 11.38%, but over the last 8 hours the funding rate is -0.0811%. The long/short ratios across all accounts, top accounts, and top positions are 1.50, 1.38, and 1.11 respectively; in the most recent hour, the active buy/sell ratio is 1.31. Longs have actively entered, while shorts are still paying—this does indeed look like it has fuel for continuation and squeeze. But in the past 2 hours, OI has already started to fall; chasing at higher odds doesn’t look attractive.

I’ll only wait for one of two setups: a 15-minute surge that closes above 0.1080 while holding a pullback to 0.1070; or a pullback in the 0.1025–0.1040 range that stabilizes and then recovers to close back at 0.1055. Having more accounts long while funding is deeply negative isn’t contradictory: one stat shows “how many accounts are on which side,” and the other reflects the pressure implied by the perpetuals relative index. Right now the mark price is still about 0.17% below the index—short pressure is real, and the squeeze fuel is still burning.

I won’t bet on direction around 0.094. Only if the 15-minute period breaks out on volume and closes above 0.0970, and then the 1-hour holds steady, will I look for the squeeze to keep going.
