The Problem With Trusting Token Teams
Most crypto projects fail the same way: they ask holders to believe promises — about audits that haven't happened, liquidity that isn't locked, or teams that aren't verifiable. When something goes wrong, there's rarely a way to have checked in advance.
Meridian Protocol was built around a different idea: instead of asking for belief, make everything checkable.
What's Actually Live On-Chain
MRDN is a fixed-supply BEP-20 token deployed on BNB Smart Chain, with a total supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens. The supply cannot increase — no mint function exists in the contract. There is no owner variable, no pause function, and no blacklist capability, meaning the contract cannot be used to freeze or manipulate holder balances after deployment.
Two companion contracts enforce additional guarantees:
MeridianVesting holds the Founder/Team allocation (18% of supply) under a fixed schedule: a 10-month cliff followed by a 3-year linear release. The contract has no admin function, no emergency withdrawal, and no ability to redirect tokens to a different address.MeridianTreasuryTimelock holds the Treasury allocation (15% of supply) and requires a mandatory 72-hour public announcement before any withdrawal can execute. This is a single-key controlled contract, not a multisig — a distinction the project discloses rather than obscures.
Combined, 33% of total supply is now held in contracts with no instant-access admin function.
Staking is also live, allowing holders to stake MRDN and earn continuously accruing rewards with no lock-in period on principal. Both the token and staking contracts have passed automated SolidityScan analysis with zero Critical and zero High findings.
What Is Not Yet Done
An independent, professional manual security audit has not been completed for either contract. Public trading liquidity has not been deployed. No legal or securities-classification opinion has been obtained in any jurisdiction. These are stated plainly in the project's documentation rather than omitted.
Why This Matters
Verification only means something when it includes the gaps, not just the strengths. A project that only discloses what looks good isn't actually being transparent — it's doing selective marketing. Meridian Protocol's documentation is structured specifically to avoid that pattern: every claim points to something checkable, and every incomplete item is labeled as such.

These automated analyses are not presented as independent third-party audits. Meridian's approach is to publish technical information openly, disclose limitations, and continue security review before expanding public access.
