Allbridge halted its Core protocol after a $1.65M exploit
#Allbridge paused its bridge after a $1.65M exploit in which the attacker allegedly used a flash loan and rapid swaps to manipulate stablecoin exchange rates. The attacker used a $1.12M flash loan from #Solana -based liquidity protocol #Kamino to manipulate stablecoin pool ratios by rapidly swapping USDC for USDT. They then withdrew funds at favorable exchange rates and laundered the stolen assets through privacy protocols.
Allbridge said user liquidity remains safe and Allbridge Next is operating normally. It plans to relaunch Core without liquidity pools, routing transfers through CCTP and #LayerZero to eliminate pool imbalance risks.
