🚨 En Corée du Sud, les exchanges font le ménage : 103 cryptos retirées des 5 grandes plateformes en 9 mois, presque 3 fois plus qu'il y a un an.

📌 Les faits (Seoul Economic Daily, 21 oct. 2026, données DAXA)
• De janvier à fin septembre 2026 : 103 tokens retirés des listes des 5 grands exchanges en won, contre 40 sur la même période en 2025
• Du 1er au 16 octobre : 48 tokens en fin de cotation ou placés « sous surveillance »
• Rien que le 16 octobre : 41 décisions, dont 20 fins de cotation (Zilliqa, Galaxia, Delabs Games…) et 21 avertissements
• Volume quotidien moyen en Corée au 1er semestre : ~3 100 milliards de wons (~2,2 Md$), moins de la moitié d'il y a un an
• Le $BTC s'échangeait vers 81 700 $ le 20 octobre, environ -26,5 % sur un an

🧠 Le mécanisme
Les exchanges coréens passent chaque token en revue au moins une fois par trimestre (capitalisation, volume d'échange…). Quand un token tombe sous les seuils minimums, il reçoit un avertissement, puis peut être retiré. Moins d'acheteurs = moins de volume = plus de tokens qui échouent au test.

👤 Moussa (personnage fictif), mécanicien à Abidjan, a acheté un petit token « pas cher » parce qu'il voyait son nom partout. S'il est retiré de la plateforme, il ne peut souvent plus le vendre facilement : il doit le transférer ailleurs, s'il trouve où, et payer des frais.

⚖️ La nuance
• Un retrait peut assainir le marché : beaucoup de petits projets n'avaient presque plus d'activité
• Mais un creux temporaire de volume n'est pas une faillite : les experts demandent des critères plus transparents et des alertes plus tôt
• Ce qui se passe à Séoul arrive aussi ailleurs : un token peu échangé est un risque en soi

South Korea's biggest exchange just pulled the plug on one of crypto's oldest layer-1s.

ICX/KRW trading ended today at 15:00 KST — unfilled orders canceled, withdrawals open until November 18. The trigger wasn't volume. The exchange flagged ICX back on August 28, and after review said the security concerns were never resolved.

The incident behind it: on August 27, a replay attack reused two signed withdrawal messages 1,492 times, releasing roughly 120 million ICX and 531,600 bnUSD. The network went dark for about 25 hours.

The part that stings: this was telegraphed for seven weeks. Anyone watching the warning list saw it coming — delistings like this punish inattention, not just the chain.

And it certainly doesn't cancel the deadline.

The question isn't just how high $EPIC can bounce.

It's how traders will react as the final trading window approaches.

13 days. On 28 Oct at 03:00 UTC, Binance removes every Spot pair for $EPIC and $QUICK (Binance notice, 14 Oct). EPIC is down 19% in 24 hours on about $6.5M of volume; QUICK is down 6% (Binance, 15 Oct, 10:09 UTC).

The dates that matter more than the headline:
- 15 Oct: margin borrowing stopped. 20 Oct: margin positions closed and settled.
- 21 Oct: Simple Earn positions redeemed automatically to Spot.
- 28 Oct 03:00 UTC: trading ends, open orders cancelled.
- 29 Oct: deposits no longer credited.
- 28 Dec: last day withdrawals are supported.

After that, Binance says it "may" convert what is left into stablecoins, and that this conversion "is not guaranteed".

What usually happens between now and the date: volume thins as market makers leave, so the last candles are set by whoever is left. EPIC's market cap is about $9.9M and QUICK's about $4.9M (CoinMarketCap, 15 Oct), small enough for a few wallets to move the price either way.

Binance listed no reason beyond its review criteria.

Holders who want out have 13 days of trading and 74 days of withdrawals. Which is the harder deadline?

📰 Binance says goodbye: EPIC and QUICK are getting delisted 👀

Binance confirmed on Oct 14 it will remove Epic Chain and QuickSwap from spot trading on Oct 28, with services shutting down in stages. $QUICK is down 28% in 24h to $0.00714 while $EPIC fell 26% to $0.32, and $PYR (from the August delisting batch) is still down 57% today.

The real deadline is not Oct 28. Futures block new positions from Oct 20 08:30 UTC and auto-settle at 09:00, margin positions are removed at 10:00, and Simple Earn follows on Oct 21. After Oct 29 deposits stop being credited entirely, and withdrawals end Dec 28. Binance says delisted tokens may be converted to stablecoins after Dec 29, but that is not guaranteed. This is forced selling with a clock on it, and the August batch (ACX, HFT, PIVX, PYR, VANRY, VIC) showed the same playbook: the announcement itself is the selloff, the spot removal date is just the paperwork.
