🇧🇩 I Bought My First 10 USDT on Binance P2P Today (And Immediately Panicked When I Saw 0 TK in wallet)
Today I completed my first ever crypto purchase.
Step 1: Bought 10 $USDT via P2P using bKash.
· Selected a Bronze badge merchant ✅
. Looked if the merchant has 98%+ rate and had 1000+ transactions ✅
· Sent 1279 BDT via bKash, there was cash out charge of 23tk✅
· Received 10 USDT in under 6 minutes ✅
Step 2: Panic mode activated 😅
I opened my Wallet and saw thisl:
👉 "0 TK"
My heart sank. Did I just lose my money?
Step 3: The lesson:
I frantically searched the app. Then I realized:
❌ The Overview tab shows only Fiat currency (BDT) held directly with Binance. Since I used P2P and not a bank deposit, it will always say 0 TK.
✅ My USDT was safe in the Earn wallet, already earning 3.76% APR.
What I Learned Today (For Other Bangladeshi Beginners):
👉 You See: "0 TK" in Wallet
👉 You Think: Money gone
👉 Reality: USDT is in Spot or Earn tab
👉 You See: Confusing menus
👉 You Think: I'm too dumb for this
👉 Reality: The app is designed for pros, not us.
My advice to anyone starting:
1. Use bKash not bank transfer.
2. Always pick Bronze badge merchants, 1000+ transactions and 98%+ .
3. After buying, check Wallets > Earn, not the Overview.
Tomorrow I'll see if that +0.001 USDT interest actually arrives. Will report back.
