Many people laughed about the colored symbols.
In Pi, there are layers, and now you find XRPl and XRP.
They work on the same thing.
My suggestion in Pirc wasn't pointless since XRP was able to split and do this.
**XRP** is the original cryptocurrency, while **XRPL** is the network (blockchain) on which it operates.

XRP is used to pay transaction fees (a very small amount is burned with each transaction), as a liquidity bridge between different currencies, and as a tradable asset. No new XRP can be created; the entire supply (100 billion) was issued when the network launched in 2012.

XRPL (XRP Ledger) is the decentralized blockchain itself. It is not owned by Ripple and operates with its own consensus mechanism, not mining or proof-of-stake. XRP, along with thousands of other tokens, is supported by a built-in decentralized exchange, AMMs, NFTs, and the issuance of tokenized assets (like the RWA mentioned in the previous tweet). Transactions are typically confirmed within 3-5 seconds with very low fees.

The difference in a nutshell: - XRPL = The road/infrastructure.

- XRP = The fuel/original asset that powers it.

You can use XRPL to issue and trade other tokens without transferring the XRP itself, but you need a small amount of XRP in your wallet to cover fees and reserve funds. People often confuse the two because XRP was practically the only asset on the network for many years.

With the Pi Network, this is definitely possible, and the price issue will be resolved.
