The more I look into Dusk, the more interesting its approach to on-chain finance becomes.
Dusk is building infrastructure for regulated digital assets and financial workflows, with privacy, access controls, selective disclosure, and deterministic settlement built into the network. Instead of making every transaction fully visible, Dusk supports different levels of visibility depending on the use case.
One part that really stands out is the difference between Moonlight and Phoenix. Moonlight handles public, account-based transactions, while Phoenix enables shielded transfers using zero-knowledge proofs. Phoenix can keep transaction details such as the transferred amount and specific notes hidden, while viewing keys can enable selective disclosure when information needs to be verified.
Dusk also separates settlement from execution through DuskDS, DuskVM, and DuskEVM. This gives developers different environments depending on whether they need direct L1 execution, Rust/WASM contracts, or EVM-compatible development.
That is what makes Dusk worth watching for me.
The technology is already defined. Now the interesting part is seeing how privacy, compliance, and on-chain financial applications perform together as the ecosystem develops.
The more I look at TermMax, the more I realize that maturity is not just an endpoint.
TermMax uses FT, XT, and GT. In the Range Order model, FT represents principal and XT represents interest, while GT represents the gearing position. The model uses pricing curves across defined ranges, and FT can be traded before maturity.
That made me look at it differently.
What makes the structure interesting to examine is the role of time-to-maturity in pricing. As maturity changes, the remaining time becomes part of the pricing relationship rather than something completely separate from it.
The documentation explains the mechanism, but the real question for me is how that structure behaves when actual market activity moves through different ranges while maturity gets closer.
That is the part I want to observe carefully—not assume, not predict, but watch as it happens.
