TeraWulf is getting attention for a reason.
The company has been working to move beyond its traditional Bitcoin mining identity and build a stronger position in AI and high-performance computing.
Now, the numbers are starting to give that strategy some credibility.
Bernstein has reaffirmed its Outperform rating on TeraWulf and kept a $36 price target on the stock.
But the price target is not the part I find most interesting.
The bigger story is TeraWulf’s HPC revenue.
In Q2, the company generated $32 million in HPC revenue.
That is a meaningful development because it shows the AI pivot is beginning to translate into actual business activity, rather than remaining just a long-term idea.
For years, TeraWulf has largely been associated with Bitcoin mining.
That business can be highly sensitive to Bitcoin prices, mining difficulty, energy costs, and broader crypto-market conditions.
AI infrastructure offers the company another path.
The demand for computing power has grown rapidly as AI models, cloud services, and other high-performance workloads continue to expand.
But building this infrastructure is not simple.
Companies need access to large amounts of electricity, suitable data-center capacity, cooling systems, and reliable infrastructure.
TeraWulf already has experience operating energy-intensive infrastructure, which could give it an interesting starting point as it moves deeper into HPC.
The $32 million Q2 revenue figure is therefore worth watching closely.
The real test, however, comes next.
Can TeraWulf keep growing this business?
One strong quarter can attract attention, but consistent growth is what ultimately changes an investment story.
If HPC revenue continues to increase over the next few quarters, investors may start valuing TeraWulf differently.
Instead of looking at the company primarily through the lens of Bitcoin mining, the market could begin placing more value on its AI infrastructure potential.
That shift could be significant.
Still, there are plenty of things that need to go right.
AI infrastructure requires substantial investment, and expansion can be expensive.
Electricity costs, financing, customer demand, data-center capacity, operating margins, and execution will all matter.
Competition is another factor that should not be ignored.
TeraWulf is not the only company trying to benefit from the growing AI infrastructure market.
That is why I would not focus too heavily on Bernstein’s $36 target alone.
A price target is an analyst’s view, not a guarantee.
The more important question is whether TeraWulf can turn its AI strategy into a durable and growing business.
For now, the $32 million HPC revenue number is a solid step in that direction.
It suggests that the company’s strategy is beginning to produce measurable results.
The next few quarters should tell us much more.
If HPC revenue keeps climbing and the company manages its costs and expansion effectively, TeraWulf’s story could become much bigger than Bitcoin mining.
And that, in my view, is the part worth watching.
The $36 target may grab the headline, but the $32 million HPC revenue is the number that tells us whether the AI pivot is actually taking hold.
