🚨 A GREAT HISTORY 🍕 On May 22, 2010, a programmer named Laszlo Hanyecz made history by carrying out the first documented commercial transaction using cryptocurrencies. Laszlo was hungry and posted on a forum that he would pay 10,000 Bitcoins to anyone who brought him two large pizzas to his house. A 19-year-old accepted the deal, bought the pizzas at Papa John’s for about $41, and received the 10,000 BTC. At the time, each Bitcoin was worth barely a fraction of a cent. If we calculate the value of those same 10,000 Bitcoins using the current price of $72,000 per BTC, those two pizzas today would cost the astronomical sum of $720 million! Without a doubt, it’s the most expensive lunch in the world. ➡️ The Great Lesson The takeaway from this story isn’t “don’t spend your cryptocurrencies,” but the real value of long-term vision. Laszlo didn’t fail; in fact, thanks to his hunger, he proved to the whole world that Bitcoin could serve as a real medium of exchange. The common mistake in the crypto world is a lack of patience and instant gratification. Many sell their assets at the first small gain or the first market panic, without understanding the disruptive potential of the technology they’re holding for the long run. In cryptocurrencies, time in the market (holding) almost always beats the urge to chase a quick profit. $BTC $SOL #Bitcoin❗ #CryptoHistory #PizzaDay #HODL {spot}(SOLUSDT)

If life has you down, just grab a pizza—it's either 6 slices or 8 slices, no 7 slices, nice and straightforward. Used to be, a pizza would set you back 5,000 BTC, but now a Pizza Hut pie is about 0.000232 BTC, life is looking up, and pizza prices are dipping!🤣. #PizzaDay $BTC {spot}(BTCUSDT)

16 years later: Bitcoin Pizza Day, much more than just a footnoteIt's May 22, 2026. As the crypto ecosystem continues to evolve at breakneck speed, one date remains etched in the blockchain: Bitcoin Pizza Day. Exactly 16 years ago, on May 22, 2010, Laszlo Hanyecz, a passionate dev, made the first commercial transaction using Bitcoin to buy two pizzas. A page of crypto history For newcomers to the world of digital finance, the story might sound unreal. Back in the day, 10,000 BTC was worth just around forty bucks. Laszlo Hanyecz was merely trying to prove that this still-niche digital currency could do more than just be mined on personal computers: it could actually be used to pay for real goods.

🚨 Bitcoin Pizza Day: The Two $700 Million Pizzas and the Golden Rule Today, May 22, we celebrate Bitcoin Pizza Day. For the masses, it’s a funny anecdote; for me, it’s the most brutal annual reminder about opportunity cost and market psychology. In 2010, programmer Laszlo Hanyecz paid 10,000 Bitcoins to have someone buy him two Papa John's pizzas for $41. Today, with Bitcoin's macro valuation, that lunch is worth over $700 million!#bitcoin 📊 The Hidden Data of History: The Middleman: Laszlo didn’t pay the pizzeria directly. The deal was with a forum user (Jeremy Sturdivant), who used a credit card and kept the coins, becoming the first liquidity provider in history. Paper Hands: Jeremy didn’t get rich either. He didn’t have the psychology to hold the position; he sold the 10,000 BTC shortly after when the price climbed to a few dollars to fund a trip. The Birth of Value: As crazy as it sounds, Laszlo doesn’t regret it. That day, Bitcoin stopped being just a code experiment and gained real-world value, opening the door to the institutional money we track today. 🎯 My Tactical Reflection: This milestone teaches me the iron rule at my trading desk: the market always rewards patience and punishes immediacy. Those who trade for instant gratification (like eating a pizza today) end up giving their capital to the whales playing the long game. That’s why I have the discipline to use my scanner, protect my dollars, and wait for key levels. Patience extracts money from the desperate. 👇 The debate is open: Let’s be honest... If you had 10,000 BTC in 2010, would you have had the macro vision to hold onto them, or would you have given away your fortune to satisfy that day’s hunger? I’m reading your thoughts in the comments. 🛡️🍕📉 #PizzaDay $BTC {spot}(BTCUSDT)

May 18, 2010, a casual message posted in a Bitcointalk forum: "I'll pay 10,000 bitcoins for a couple of pizzas... like maybe 2 large ones so I have some left over for the next day. I like having leftover pizza to nibble on later. You can make the pizza yourself and bring it to my house or order it for me from a delivery place, but what I'm aiming for is getting food delivered in exchange for bitcoins where I don't have to order or prepare it myself, kind of like ordering a 'breakfast platter' at a hotel or something, they just bring you food to eat and you're happy! I like things like onions, peppers, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, pepperoni, etc... just standard stuff no weird fish topping or anything like that. I also like regular cheese pizza which may be cheaper to prepare or otherwise acquire." On May 22, 2010, a student named Jeremy Sturdivant (alias jercos) took up the challenge. He ordered the two pizzas, had them delivered to Laszlo in Florida, and received in exchange his 10,000 bitcoins. This wasn't the first token transfer, but it's officially the very first commercial transaction in Bitcoin history for a tangible physical good. That day, #Bitcoin emerged from lines of code to become, concretely, a medium of exchange. Every year, we remember this. So, bring out the pepperoni slices... Happy Pizza Day 🍕 #Haedal #PizzaDay
