Dogecoin is getting fresh attention from both ETF flows and large holders.
U.S. spot DOGE ETFs recorded around $2.89M in net inflows for the week ended September 25 — their strongest weekly inflow since launch.
At the same time, wallets holding 10M–100M DOGE reportedly added around 1.14 BILLION DOGE between September 24 and 27.
But there’s a twist.
Bitwise’s BWOW Dogecoin ETF is still scheduled to stop trading on October 14, showing that institutional demand remains mixed.
That combination makes DOGE one to watch closely.

A new Litecoin development is taking shape on the Canton Network.
The Litecoin Foundation and Greywick Digital have signed an MOU to develop cLTC, a representation of Litecoin designed for institutional use cases on Canton. The project is currently progressing on Canton’s testnet, with a potential launch targeted for the end of 2026.
But this is important: cLTC is not live yet. The project still needs to finalize reserve addresses, attestations and launch arrangements before release.
Meanwhile, Litecoin Core v0.21.5.8 was released in September with improvements to MWEB validation, transaction relay, mining and resource management.
So the latest LTC story has two sides: institutional infrastructure is being built, while the core network keeps getting maintained.

🚨 CHAINLINK JUST TOOK ANOTHER STEP INTO REAL-WORLD FINANCE
Chainlink has unveiled a new solution built for tokenized equities and corporate actions.
For the 2026 Swift Hackathon, Chainlink demonstrated how a cash dividend could be automated across four different blockchains — from the corporate-action message all the way to payment and reconciliation.
The system uses Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) together with CCIP, Data Feeds and compliance infrastructure, while using ISO 20022 messaging.
And this comes just days after Chainlink launched CCIP 2.0, adding optional Cross-Chain Verifiers, customizable confirmation settings, modular fees and built-in compliance capabilities.
This is a very different Chainlink story from simply providing crypto price feeds.
The focus is increasingly on connecting traditional financial infrastructure with onchain markets.

Internet Computer has started deploying a new IC OS / replica release (d26cd03) across the network.
The update includes core-protocol changes such as faster upgrades, improved delegation validation and subnet-splitting improvements. A September 29 proposal to update 40% of Cloud Engines to the new replica version was also executed.
And here’s the important part:
This isn’t just a roadmap announcement. The new replica version is already being rolled out through the Internet Computer’s onchain governance system.
Meanwhile, DFINITY’s latest ecosystem coverage continues to highlight Caffeine, AI infrastructure and sovereign-cloud applications as major areas around Internet Computer.
No need to force a price narrative when the real update is happening at the protocol level.

🚨 POLKADOT HAS A NEW NATIVE STABLECOIN IN THE MAKING
This is one of the biggest fresh developments around DOT right now.
Polkadot’s Referendum #1944 proposes dotUSD, a protocol-native stablecoin designed to become Polkadot’s primary stable-value asset.
The proposal includes an initial USDT-backed Phase 1, followed by a planned Phase 2 using DOT-collateralized vaults, oracles and liquidation mechanisms.
And the governance vote is still the key point: the official referendum page currently shows 98.4% Aye, but only about 0.11% of DOT issuance represented in the displayed support figure. So the headline should be “proposed,” not “already fully launched.”
There’s also fresh developer activity around Polkadot’s Statement Store, with Parity publishing new September documentation explaining how it handles signed off-chain messages.
DOT’s next chapter may be about more than interoperability.

Avalanche is seeing fresh institutional activity around tokenized assets.
New York Life Investment Management has brought its HYB U.S. High Yield Corporate Bond fund onchain through Centrifuge, using Avalanche infrastructure. The fund represents tokenized exposure to high-yield corporate bonds.
There’s another important development: the NYSE has reportedly spent about a year testing Avalanche technology as it evaluates blockchain infrastructure for tokenized equities and ETFs. Importantly, NYSE has not confirmed that it selected Avalanche for the platform.
And Avalanche’s Helicon upgrade is already live on Mainnet, bringing Continuous Execution and major validator/staking changes.

🚨 CARDANO JUST GOT A REAL-WORLD BLOCKCHAIN USE CASE
Cardano Foundation has announced two new Petrobras initiatives using Cardano as a public blockchain to make sustainability claims around aviation fuel and renewable diesel more verifiable.
The projects focus on traceability and public verification of sustainability data — putting Cardano directly into an enterprise use case rather than just another ecosystem announcement.
And this is fresh: the announcement was published September 30, making it one of Cardano’s newest official developments.

Ethena has officially ended the ENA incentives tied to USDe growth as of October 1.
That means the protocol is moving away from using new ENA emissions to incentivize USDe growth, while its new revenue-based ENA buyback framework becomes a bigger part of the token-economics story. Governance approved a framework that can redirect protocol revenue toward ENA purchases once specified USDe supply milestones are reached.
There’s another date to watch: StablecoinX’s special ENA lock-up waiver takes effect on October 5, changing the restrictions around its ENA holdings.
So ENA now has two very different forces in focus: reduced incentive emissions and upcoming token-unlock dynamics.

Hyperliquid just confirmed its annual event for October 5 in Singapore, during Token2049 week.
But there’s another important date before that.
Hyperliquid’s official announcements say the first AQAv2 reserve-yield payment is scheduled for October 3. The system routes a share of stablecoin reserve-yield revenue to the Assistance Fund, adding another mechanism tied to the protocol’s token economics.
And on the supply side, Hyperliquid Labs is currently unstaking 3.75M HYPE for an OTC transaction with one institutional buyer. The buyer and deal terms have not been disclosed.
So the next few days could bring several important HYPE developments.

NEAR’s next major protocol release is getting closer.
A recently approved governance change will remove the 30% developer gas rebate, meaning execution fees that were previously redirected as rewards will instead be burned at the protocol level.
The implementation is already merged, with the change currently targeted for the NEAR 2.14 mainnet release around October 5.
And NEAR is also previewing SPICE, a major architectural upgrade separating consensus from execution to improve how the network scales.
Two very different upgrades — token economics and core infrastructure — are moving at the same time.
🚨 NEAR UPDATE: A major fee-burning change and a new protocol architecture are both approaching. Click the $NEAR setup below 🫵🏻 and check the latest ecosystem developments.
Aptos is currently voting on a multi-step testnet framework upgrade to v1.49.0.
The proposal started voting on September 29 and is scheduled to end October 2. If approved, it would advance Aptos’ latest framework changes through its testnet upgrade process.
This comes alongside Aptos’ recent tokenomics overhaul, including a 2.1 billion APT hard supply cap and a move to burn 100% of transaction fees.

DogeOS has opened its public testnet, giving developers an EVM-compatible environment to build applications around DOGE, including DeFi, trading, stablecoins, gaming and other consumer apps. DOGE is used for transaction fees on the new network.
But there’s an important detail: this is still a testnet. DogeOS has not announced a mainnet launch date yet, and its current security model still relies on validators, a trusted execution environment and a permissioned sequencer.
That makes this a real development to watch — but not a finished ecosystem upgrade.
🚨 DOGE UPDATE: DogeOS is now live on public testnet. Click the $DOGE setup below 🫵🏻 and check the latest ecosystem developments.
Aave V4 has now surpassed $1 billion in deposits, according to Aave Labs’ September development update published October 1.
That growth came as V4 expanded to Arc and Base during September, with Base launching an Equities Hub where seven Coinbase tokenized U.S. equities can be used as collateral for USDC borrowing.
Aave also says V4 reached $310 million in active loans, while its Avalanche deployment grew from roughly $20M to $30M during September.
This is one of the clearest signs yet that Aave V4 is moving beyond its initial rollout phase.

Litecoin Foundation has endorsed Greywick Digital’s proposal to bring Litecoin onto the Canton Network as cLTC.
The plan would create a representation of LTC on Canton, a network focused on institutional digital assets and financial markets.
But there’s an important detail: this is still a proposal/MOU. No launch date has been announced, so cLTC is not live yet.
Meanwhile, Lite Strategy reported on September 29 that it held 832,716 LTC as of June 30 and had made Litecoin its primary treasury reserve asset.

Uniswap has introduced a new "swapSource" feature for its API that can let bridge providers complete a bridge-and-swap in one atomic transaction.
Instead of requiring another approval or signature after tokens arrive on the destination chain, the bridge can swap the tokens already deposited into Uniswap’s Universal Router.
There’s another deadline coming.
Uniswap’s API will begin enforcing slippage settings on October 4. Every "/quote" request will need either "autoSlippage" or "slippageTolerance".
And Universal Router 2.1.2 is now the recommended version, with older 2.0 and 2.1.1 versions scheduled to be sunset on October 21.

Sui and OpenAssets are working with the Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust to develop the Open Tokenized Asset Standard (OTAS), an open framework for representing, verifying and settling tokenized assets across financial systems.
The goal is to create common standards for tokenized securities, funds, commodities and other assets so they can move more easily between institutions and networks.
Sui is also extending OTAS into its own ecosystem, while Tether’s Hadron has already added Sui as a tokenization platform.
And another date is coming: Sui Basecamp 2026 begins October 7, where Sui plans a live attempt to surpass its previous 6M+ TPS record.

🚨 XRP JUST GOT A HUGE REAL-WORLD TOKENIZATION SIGNAL
A Brazilian financial-market operator handling more than $4 trillion in registered assets has started recording selected BTG Pactual investment-fund ownership on the public XRP Ledger.
CSD BR is using XRPL as a second, publicly verifiable record while its existing database remains the official legal record. The project is already using live fund records, not just test data.
And there’s another major XRP event coming.
Evernorth shareholders approved its business combination, with the transaction expected to close October 7. At closing, Evernorth expects to hold approximately 473 million XRP, with Nasdaq trading under XRPN expected to begin October 8, subject to remaining closing conditions.
This puts XRP in the spotlight from two different angles: institutional tokenization and a major public-market XRP treasury vehicle.

Zcash holders have approved the key changes planned for NU7, the network’s next major upgrade.
The vote backed 25-second block times, keeping Zcash’s existing Bitcoin-style halving schedule. NU7 is currently targeted for November, with testnet activation planned for October 6.
There’s also fresh security work: Zebra 6.4.2 was released on September 28 as an emergency fix for a remotely triggerable crash.
And today, Zcash holders approved about $8.4M in retroactive grants, including funding connected to security research.
