$BTC Regulators are drawing red lines 🔥
The CLARITY Act amendment is out
Pseudo-decentralized DeFi will be forced to register
Yet another major move in U.S. crypto regulation
The latest amended CLARITY Act
brings one very critical thing to the forefront
For non-decentralized financial trading protocols
I watched it
and literally sucked in a breath of cold air
This isn’t regulation
It’s like opening up DeFi for brain surgery
Simply put,
when everyone used to discuss DeFi regulation,
the biggest headache was
who’s actually responsible?
For a truly fully decentralized protocol—
no boss, no company, no one sitting in an office taking calls—
who are you going to make register? 😂
But if a project publicly claims “DeFi,” “decentralization,”
while behind the scenes there’s still a company, a team, or some entity
that can unilaterally change protocol rules, freeze funds, or shut down the front end,
then it’s directly determined to be non-decentralized DeFi
The latest text proposes
clearer CFTC registration and regulatory requirements
for qualifying non-decentralized finance trading protocols
This actually reveals a growing, clearer mindset in U.S. regulation:
truly decentralized things
won’t be swept up all at once
But if you’re fake DeFi, real centralization,
don’t even think about hiding from regulation behind a DeFi mask 🤣
For the coin market,
this is a positive tailwind in the mid-to-long term
and will remove the mixed bag of pseudo-DeFi
with a clearer compliance framework
Less worry for big institutions entering the space
and for the broader crypto market, this is a long-term sentiment positive
Those projects where the teams behind them are highly controllable,
and that are waving a DeFi banner—
face enormous pressure
It’s like directly performing brain surgery
Those native decentralized protocols with single-point control
actually end up getting compliance exemptions
and logically benefit
So, brothers,
in the short term, don’t touch those DeFi tokens that got named
Wait until the September 15 voting results come out before making a move
