So, what is staking?
Staking is the process of locking your cryptocurrency to help secure a blockchain network that uses the Proof of Stake (#PoS ) consensus mechanism. In return, participants may receive staking rewards.
Think of it as depositing money into a savings account. Instead of a bank paying interest, the blockchain rewards participants for helping validate transactions and maintain network security.
