The mandatory signaling started at block 961,632 on August 7, with only 2.53% miner support, far below the 55% threshold needed for activation. BIP-110 nodes rejected blocks that didn’t signal for the proposal, creating a minority chain. But that chain managed to mine only 2 blocks before effectively stalling, while the main Bitcoin chain kept moving. What stands out to me isn’t just that BIP-110 failed.
