🇮🇳 India isn’t adopting #crypto as legal tender but it’s actively embracing blockchain where it delivers real-world value.
On 23 July 2026, Andhra Pradesh officially launched the Mee Bhoomi–Blockchain pilot to modernize land record management.
The initiative aims to tackle long-standing issues such as:
• Tampering with land records
• Fake registrations
• Property fraud
• Ownership disputes
Built on Hyperledger Fabric, the system creates tamper-resistant land records where every update is securely recorded and independently verifiable.
Phase 1 includes:
📍 7 mandals
🏘️ 89 villages
📄 137,000+ land parcels
If the pilot proves successful, the Government of Andhra Pradesh plans to expand it across the entire state.
This is another strong example of India using blockchain beyond speculation solving real governance challenges through greater transparency, security, and trust.
Blockchain isn’t just about crypto. It’s about building better public infrastructure.
