XRP Closed at a 21-Month Low, but the Bigger Ripple Story Is Elsewhere
$XRP recently dropped below the $1 level, reaching a 21-month low as broader crypto market weakness continued.
But price isnโt telling the whole story.
According to Santiment data, XRPโs daily active addresses increased sharply to an average of 35,700 in August, compared with 26,400 in July. August 11 was also XRPโs busiest network day since early June.
However, new addresses remain almost unchanged at around 2,260 versus 2,270 last month. This means existing users are becoming more active, while the overall user base is not expanding significantly.
Thereโs another interesting signal: wallets holding at least 1 million XRP have increased by 32 over the past three months, even as XRPโs market cap declined nearly 30%.
Meanwhile, Rippleโs RLUSD stablecoin has grown to around $1.6B in market capitalization.
