Institutional investors: HBAR’s U.S. ETF has seen net inflows, with about $4.2M entering over the past month — a sign of continued institutional demand.
Whales: Large whale-sized orders remain active in both spot and futures markets, but current public data does not confirm a clear fresh whale-accumulation trend.
Futures:$HBAR perpetuals currently have roughly $150M open interest, with positive funding, showing strong leveraged participation.
Chart: Your screenshot shows $0.1153 and RSI 84.6, which is extremely overbought on that timeframe. Current external market data is lower, around $0.096–$0.097, so your screenshot appears to be from an earlier market moment.
Short version: 🟢 Institutional money is still flowing in, 🟡 whale activity is active but accumulation isn't clearly confirmed, and 🔴 leverage + overbought conditions mean pullback/liquidation risk is elevated.
Institutionelles Geld: US-Spot-Bitcoin-ETFs verzeichneten etwa 2,4 Mrd.
Ethereum-ETFs verzeichneten jedoch rund 690 Mio. US-Dollar an wöchentlichen Zuflüssen.
A major whale/entity accumulated around 150 million BTW in August. On September 21, that position was reported at about $112M, with an estimated unrealized profit of $58.51M at that time.
Another wallet withdrew 5M BTW from Gate, worth about $3.71M at the reported withdrawal price.
The important point: the 150M BTW accumulation was reported as not transferred or sold when last monitored, which suggests that particular whale had not distributed those tokens at that point.
2. Current market activity
BTW has recently reached an all-time high around $1.36–$1.37 according to CoinMarketCap/TradingView data.
Derivatives activity is extremely large relative to spot: CoinGlass recently showed roughly $287M futures volume vs ~$29M spot volume, with about $299M open interest.
That means a significant part of the current move is being driven by leveraged futures trading, not just long-term spot investors.
What this means
Whales: 🟢 There is documented evidence of substantial accumulation/holding, but I would not assume whales are still buying at $1.38 without fresh wallet-flow data.
Retail/investors: 🟡 Strong FOMO is possible after such a rapid move. BTW has already risen enormously from its earlier 2026 lows, so profit-taking risk is significant. CoinMarketCap notes the token's low was around $0.0077 in March versus an ATH around $1.36 in September.
Futures traders: 🔴 High risk/high leverage. The futures volume and open interest are very large, meaning a sharp move in either direction can trigger liquidations.
My reading of the data: The current BTW move looks like a very high-volatility, leverage-heavy rally. The existence of large whale holders is bullish information, but it does not prove that whales are currently accumulating.

CZ: A Single Tweet Could Not Have Caused FTX to Collapse
On September 25, 2026, Binance founder CZ said in an interview with When Shift Happens that a single tweet could not directly cause a well-run company to collapse, and that FTX’s problems stemmed from its own liquidity shortfall and the misuse of customer funds. He said that at the time, he had only publicly disclosed Binance’s plan to gradually sell its remaining FTT holdings and did not expect the announcement to have such a significant impact. CoinDesk had already reported earlier that FTX might be insolvent.
