Markets don’t always give you a clear direction.

Sometimes you’re bullish.
Sometimes you’re bearish.
Sometimes you just don’t know.

And that’s one thing i find interesting about options.

They give you more ways to position around the market instead of simply buying an asset and hoping the price goes your way.

You can use them to hedge, protect a position, or take a calculated view on where the market might move.

Bringing that kind of flexibility onchain is what makes the space interesting to me.

Ithaca protocol is building around this with a non-custodial, composable options protocol.

I’m still learning the deeper mechanics, but i like the idea of having more financial tools without giving up control of your assets.

Sometimes, having more options is the option.

Ich habe früher „Optionen“ gehört und sofort an Komplexität gedacht.

Käufe? Verfall, Calls, Puts… abeg 😭

aber je mehr ich darüber lerne, desto einfacher wird die grundlegende Idee.

Optionen geben dir mehr Möglichkeiten, sich deinen Vermögenswerten zu nähern.

Du kannst sie nutzen, um eine Position abzusichern, das Risiko zu steuern, potenzielle Rendite zu erwirtschaften oder eine Meinung dazu zu treffen, wohin sich der Markt entwickeln könnte.

Und genau deshalb finde ich On-Chain-Optionen interessant.

Anstatt einfach nur einen Vermögenswert zu halten und zu warten, dass sich der Preis bewegt, hast du mehr Werkzeuge zur Verfügung.

Ithaca ist ein Protokoll, das ich in diesem Bereich gerade erkunde – aufgebaut auf nicht verwahrten und zusammensetzbaren Optionen.

Ich lerne die Mechanik selbst noch, aber ich beginne zu erkennen, dass Optionen weniger als irgendein kompliziertes Handelsinstrument sind, sondern eher als ein weiterer Baustein für DeFi.

Mehr Werkzeuge. Mehr Strategien. Mehr Möglichkeiten, dein Kapital einzusetzen.

The more i learn about DeFi, the more i appreciate one simple idea:

You shouldn’t have to give up control of your assets just to access better financial tools.

That’s one thing that stands out to me about non-custodial options.

Options can give you more ways to manage positions, hedge risk or take a view on the market.

But if using them means handing your assets over to someone else, there’s still a trade-off.

This is where Ithaca gets interesting to me.

It’s built as a non-custodial, composable options protocol.

Your assets stay under your control while you interact with options onchain.

Simple idea, but an important one.

More financial tools shouldn’t have to mean less ownership.

That’s the kind of DeFi direction i want to understand better.

Ich bin schon seit einer Weile auf Binance, habe aber auf Square noch nie wirklich gepostet.

Ich dachte, es ist an der Zeit, das zu ändern.

Ich habe in letzter Zeit viel mehr Zeit damit verbracht, über DeFi, Web3 und die verschiedenen Dinge zu lernen, die onchain aufgebaut werden.

Ich lerne noch, also bin ich nicht hier, um so zu tun, als hätte ich auf alles die Antworten.

Ich möchte einfach teilen, was ich lerne, auf welche Projekte ich stoße und was meine Aufmerksamkeit wirklich auf sich zieht.

Eines dieser Projekte ist gerade Ithaca.

Ich werde hier mehr darüber teilen, während ich mehr darüber erfahre, was sie rund um nicht verwahrte, zusammensetzbare Optionen aufbauen.

Mal sehen, wohin das führt.
