【Crypto Trivia】Think Bitcoin is too expensive to own? You do not need a whole coin.
Bitcoin breaks down into 100 million smaller units called satoshis — or "sats" for short. One satoshi is just 0.00000001 BTC, the smallest unit the network can record on-chain. The unit is named after Bitcoin's anonymous creator, Satoshi Nakamoto.
On the Lightning Network, payments can go even smaller: one satoshi splits into 1,000 millisatoshis, making micro-payments practical.
So the next time someone says "I can't afford Bitcoin," remind them: you can start with sats, not whole coins. Not financial advice.
