Exchange supply keeps draining:
The second factor is LINK's shrinking presence on exchanges. Santiment data shows more than 15.7 million LINK left known exchanges in a month, a 12% supply drop.
Sunday alone saw net outflows of 1.04 million LINK, one of the largest daily moves of the stretch.
"Fewer tokens sitting on exchanges reduces readily available sell pressure and makes accumulation look much more convincing," the firm said.
Institutional adoption adds a reason
Finally, on July 15, the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation $DTCC ran its first production trades of tokenized US assets. Chainlink was among the market participant firms.
More than 30 firms took part, including BlackRock, Vanguard, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, and Microsoft. Crypto-native names included Circle, Ondo Finance, and Fireblocks.
The full DTCC Tokenization Service launches in October 2026, which could further lift adoption. Meanwhile, the Federal Reserve meets on July 28 in the next macro test. Whether outflows and demand hold will decide if LINK keeps its lead.
