What is the “Must verify using passkey” function?

“Must verify using passkey” is a security feature that aims to better protect your Binance account and assets. After enabling it, you must verify with passkey when logging in to your account and making a withdrawal.

How to enable the “Must verify using passkey” function?

After enabling “Must verify using passkey”, please note that you won’t be able to log in to your Binance account if you lose access to your passkeys.
1. Log into your Binance account and mouse over the [Profile] icon. Click [Account].
2. Go to [Security]. Click [Manage] next to [Passkeys].
3. Toggle on the button next to [Must verify using passkey for important scenarios].
4. You’ll see a confirmation pop-up. Read the notes carefully, make sure you fully understand the risks before clicking [Confirm].
After enabling “Must verify using passkey”, please note that you won’t be able to log in to your Binance account if you lose access to your passkeys.
5. Verify with your passkey to complete the setup.
6. To disable the function, toggle off the button next to [Must verify using passkey for important scenarios] and verify with your passkey.

Tips

After enabling the function, you won’t be able to log in to your Binance account if you lose access to your passkeys. You should disable the “Must verify using passkey” function before performing the following actions:
  • Change to a different mobile device;
  • Log in to a new iCloud account;
  • Change your passkey settings on your mobile device’s system settings;
  • Reinstall your Binance app.
