Binance P2P Additional Verification Requirements & Guidelines

If you are a P2P taker:
  • You acknowledge and agree that Binance is not a party singly or together with your counterparty to the P2P transaction. You also acknowledge and agree that you are sharing your personal information for identity verification purposes with your counterparty and not with Binance.
  • Your conduct of a P2P transaction with a counterparty will be deemed your agreement to provide required personal information for identity verification purposes to that counterparty in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations. Such information may be used to verify your identity, identify traces of money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and other financial crimes or for other lawful purposes.
  • In addition to providing such information, you agree to allow your counterparty to keep a record of that information in compliance with the applicable laws and regulations. You also authorize the counterparty to conduct necessary investigations directly or through a third party to verify your identity or protect you and/or the counterparty from financial crimes, such as fraud or other financial crimes, and to take necessary actions based on the results of such investigations, including but not limited to, sharing of your data and/or rejecting to conclude a P2P transaction with you.
  • The information your counterparty requires to verify your identity may include, but is not limited to, your name, surname, government-issued personal code, and/or date of birth, citizenship, email address, contact information, phone number, username, government-issued ID, and other information collected. When providing the required information for the purpose of user identity verification, you confirm and warrant that all information provided by you is true, complete, and accurate.
  • You also acknowledge and agree that your personal information may be disclosed by the counterparty to relevant regulatory authorities, law enforcement entities and/or other competent authorities when they are required by law or by court to disclose certain information about you or any engagement they may have with you.
  • You further acknowledge and agree that neither this text nor the platform or its extensions are intended to and can be evaluated as a justification for any kind of involvement of Binance in your P2P transaction with your counterparty whatsoever.
If you are P2P maker:
  • You acknowledge and agree that Binance is not a party singly or together with your counterparty to the P2P transaction. You also acknowledge and agree that the personal information you collect for identity verification purposes is shared directly with you and not with Binance.
  • You acknowledge and agree without reserve that any personal information you have obtained for identity verification purposes cannot be disclosed to any person whosoever or whatsoever, and you will use your reasonable best endeavours to prevent any such disclosure in accordance with the applicable data privacy laws and regulations. On the condition that applicable laws and regulations permit, such information may be disclosed where the disclosure is made with the written consent of the data owner and/or made in accordance with the requirements of applicable laws or any requirement of any authority or judicial, governmental or regulatory person.
  • You acknowledge that violating applicable data privacy laws and regulations may result in your civil and/or criminal liability.
  • You further acknowledge and agree that neither this text nor the platform or its extensions are intended to and can be evaluated as a justification for any kind of involvement of Binance in your P2P transaction with your counterparty or in your collecting of information for identity verification purposes whatsoever.
Disclaimer: Binance does not have any kind of involvement in your P2P transaction with your counterparty or in your collecting or sharing of information for identity verification purposes whatsoever. Thus, Binance shall not be held responsible with regards to how your personal data is used by the counterparty.
