Starknet is on the verge of a major structural shift. The proposal for Starknet to transition into a standalone Layer 1 network has received overwhelming backing, currently sitting at 99.95 percent support with over 345 million votes in favor. Voting officially closes on October 22. Despite this massive fundamental catalyst, the STRK price chart shows a significant correction. $STRK has pulled back from its recent local top of 0.12660 and is currently trading around the 0.060 level. This area is acting as a critical support zone. The market often prices in major upgrades slowly. A successful shift to a Layer 1 network would give Starknet its own independent structure and potentially drive higher long term utility for the token. If support holds at these current levels, the conclusion of the vote on October 22 could serve as the trigger for a technical reversal and a fresh upward rally. Watch the price action closely around the 0.060 mark over the next few days. $STRK {future}(STRKUSDT) #Starknet #cryptotrading #MarketAnalysis

The L1 dream is down 51% in seven days. $STRK ran $0.049 → $0.1265 on October 8–11 after StarkWare's CEO floated leaving Ethereum for an independent layer 1. Binance spot did $103.8M in a single day. Then the tape read the fine print: October 15's governance poll is non-binding research, not a migration. No timeline, no upgrade, bridges stay open. The unwind has been orderly and brutal. $0.1232 close on October 11 → $0.0596 now. Network activity peaked with the price (2,823 active addresses on October 11, per TokenPost) and fell 63% two days later. Today's spot volume: $14.4M — against $103.8M at the peak. Support $0.058–$0.060, today's low. Then the pre-rally base $0.048–$0.053. Resistance $0.071–$0.073, the midweek breakdown. A daily close under $0.058 hands the whole L1 rally back. Levels, not advice. NFA. The bear case in one line: the vote asks whether to *research* an L1. The market priced a migration. Research votes don't hold upgrades' prices. Does $STRK hold $0.058, or does it retest the $0.048 pre-rally floor first? $STRK #Starknet #PriceAction #Altcoins

Is the Starknet dump done, or are the longs just not finished paying for it? 💸 $STRK funding is still positive at +0.005% with the price at 0.06095 USDT, -10.54% in the last 24 hours and -45.93% on the week, so longs are paying shorts to stay in a trade that has gone against them every day since the top. Bitcoin at 81,189 is -0.47% today and -2.34% on the week, which makes this slide Starknet's own. The backstory: the token ran hard into October 11 on talk that Starknet could leave Ethereum for its own layer 1, then 127 million STRK unlocked on October 15, the VIP program for STRK and strkBTC holders went live on October 16, and none of it put a floor under the chart. 📉 Where it sits: 0.06095 is a whisker above the 0.06024 low of the day, with the range top at 0.06873 a long way up, on 17M USDT of volume. Positive funding at the bottom of a range like that says the crowd is still leaning the wrong way for a bounce, and a flip to negative funding with the price holding would read as the longs finally flushed, which is the picture that would change my mind on $STRK. 🔍 The level I'm watching is 0.06024, the 24h low, not a target. #STRK #Starknet #FundingRates #TokenUnlock

{spot}(STRKUSDT) $STRK : Is Starknet Ready for Its Next Move? 👀 $STRK has been attracting attention as traders look for opportunities beyond the major cryptocurrencies. But after sharp price movements, the next move matters more than the recent hype. For me, the key is watching how price behaves around important support and resistance levels. If buyers return with strong volume and price breaks above resistance, bullish momentum could build. However, if support fails, another pullback remains possible. I’m watching three things closely: trading volume, market structure, and Bitcoin’s overall direction. A breakout without volume can be a trap, so patience is important. Crypto markets reward discipline, not FOMO. I’d rather wait for confirmation than enter a trade just because a coin is trending. What’s your view on $STRK? Are buyers preparing for a recovery, or could sellers take control again? #STRK #Starknet #CryptoTrading

$STRK has fallen another 10.79% in the last 24 hours, now trading at $0.06606. It is almost 47.8% below its 7-day high. Volume is notably low, at just 35.66% of its 7-day average. The RSI is at 30.5, nearing oversold levels. I see no reason to enter yet. The low volume suggests a lack of buying interest even at these lower prices. My view would shift if $STRK can break above $0.07 with strong, confirming volume. I will watch for any signs of sustained volume returning. #Starknet #PriceAction

Not buying the dip: 99.96% voted in favor of Starknet “becoming an independent L1,” but 93.5% of the votes came from 42 foundation-delegated addresses. What we know: As of the morning of October 20, Snapshot had 2,738 votes representing about 388 million STRK in voting power, with 99.96% in favor. About 363 million came from the foundation’s delegation list, representing just 42 addresses. A “yes” vote only means starting to study the idea; it doesn’t mean migration has been approved. On Binance, spot STRK rose from a October 7 close of 0.0491 to a high of 0.1265 on October 11. It’s now around 0.057, down about 7% in 24 hours. ARB, another L2, gained about 4% over the same period. STRK has been weakening on its own. I don’t think a unanimous vote means holders are in consensus. They only voted on whether to study the idea, while the price has already surged on the narrative and then given back most of its gains. What I’m doing: I won’t touch it until the daily candle closes back above 0.0645 and clears the MA20, around 0.0677. Invalidation: If the daily candle falls below the October 19 low of 0.0563, it will likely return to the 0.049 launch point. I won’t try to catch a falling knife. Do you think this reflects genuine consensus among holders, or was unanimity propped up by delegated votes? $STRK $ARB #Starknet #Layer2

Does Starknet want to “go solo”? 99.9% vote in favor of exploring an independent L1 🧐 An L2 community is seriously discussing whether to break away from Ethereum and become a Layer 1 of its own. On October 15, StarkWare launched a Snapshot vote, and support is currently close to 99.9%. But don’t get too excited just yet: this vote only kicks off research: 🔹 It’s not a commitment to migrate 🔹 It doesn’t involve issuing a new token 🔹 The main motivation is a quantum-resistant upgrade—they don’t want to wait for Ethereum’s timeline There are practical hurdles, too: dependencies like blob data and cross-chain bridges are still deeply tied to Ethereum. Untangling them would be no simple task. My take: the 99.9% vote shows that the community is largely in agreement, but there’s a long way between research and implementation. The signal worth watching is that L2s are starting to ask, “Who should be in control of security upgrades?” If Ethereum is slow to make progress on quantum resistance, might more L2s start considering the same thing? What do you think: would an L2 becoming an independent L1 be a good move toward self-sufficiency, or would it weaken the Ethereum ecosystem? 🔐 Quantum is coming—time to change the “lock”? Starknet’s approach: don’t move house, just replace the lock cylinder When it comes to post-quantum security, most blockchains face the same challenge: the signature algorithm is hard-coded into the protocol, so changing it requires a hard fork across the entire network—and users might even have to move their assets to new addresses. Starknet has a different solution, built around native account abstraction: 🔹 Each account can customize its signature method. Developers can add new signature schemes directly to an account, including post-quantum schemes, without a network-wide hard fork 🔹 Addresses stay the same and assets don’t move. It’s like upgrading the door lock without moving house 🔹 STARK proofs are hash-based and don’t rely on elliptic curves, which are vulnerable to quantum attacks 🔹 Falcon-512 signatures have already been tested on mainnet 🔹 StarkWare’s June 2026 roadmap explicitly says it plans to remove its reliance on elliptic curves The community is also discussing a bolder idea: reducing reliance on Ethereum for upgrades so changes like these can move forward faster. My take: no one can say exactly when the quantum threat will become real, but the ability to upgrade smoothly is itself a security property. Waiting until the threat arrives to argue about a fork may be too late. Building upgradeability into the account layer ahead of time is more practical than just talking about it. Do you think post-quantum security will become a key benchmark in the next round of competition among public blockchains, or is it still too far off and just a story for now?
