SKYAI IS OFFLOADING $SOL -- AND THE LOSSES ARE MASSIVE!
SkyAI , formerly known as Sharps Technology, reportedly started with a massive stash of 2 million SOL, worth around $214 million.
But things are changing fast. The company disclosed that it has already sold 1 million SOL worth roughly $107 million and could continue selling. On-chain data tells an even bigger story: around 1.57 million #sol , valued at $175 million, has been transferred out during October. Here’s the painful part...... their average purchase price was around $194 per SOL, and they’re now reportedly sitting on more than $160 million in losses. That’s a huge position to unwind. Will #SKYAİ keep selling, or is this where the selling pressure finally slows down?

🚨Nasdaq-listed #SKYAİ $SKYA.US reportedly sold around 1 million $SOL , roughly half its crypto reserves, while preparing a cash tender offer targeting up to $201 million in share and warrant repurchases.

SkyAI’s board rejected on September an unsolicited stock-swap proposal from fellow Solana treasury company Forward Industries.

⚠️ The proposed tender offer remains subject to conditions, including minimum participation and $SOL price requirements.

The strategy marks a notable shift from accumulating #sol toward returning capital to shareholders.

In my view, treasury companies have reached the point where their own stock is more interesting to them than the coin.

SkyAI, formerly Sharps Technology, sold about 1 million $SOL
— half its reserve. The money is going toward a buyback of its own shares at $3, for up to ~$201 million.
Their average entry price for SOL is ~$194, according to Lookonchain. So they’re selling far below what they paid.
And the offer is live only as long as SOL closes above $100. Plus, it’s a shield: SkyAI just fended off Forward Industries’ proposal.

Metaplanet is doing something similar, but without selling: ¥52 billion in zero-interest convertible bonds due 2031.
Some of the proceeds will go toward repaying loans backed by $BTC
, and up to ¥28.3 billion will go toward share buybacks.

SkyAI is paying for itself with coins; Metaplanet, with zero-interest debt. To me, that signals the coin isn’t their top priority right now.
