📌 Project Overview
Initia is a modular Layer 1 blockchain. Its goal is to lower the barrier for developers to deploy blockchain applications and to build an ecosystem with both scalability and interoperability. The overall architecture mainly consists of three parts:
1️⃣ Initia Layer 1
Built on the Cosmos SDK, it supports MoveVM. It is responsible for providing network security, governance mechanisms, and cross-chain communication capabilities.
2️⃣ Interwoven Rollups
Developers can quickly create their own Rollups and customize Gas tokens, execution environments, and economic models according to their needs, improving the flexibility of applications.
3️⃣ Interwoven Stack
Provides a complete set of development tools and infrastructure, including wallets, block explorers, bridging tools, etc., reducing the cost of building the ecosystem.
🪙 Token Utility ($INIT)
$INIT is the core token of the Initia ecosystem. Its main uses include:
• Paying Gas fees for Layer 1 and Rollups
• Staking to help maintain network security and earn rewards
• Participating in on-chain governance voting
• Acting as an important asset in the built-in AMM liquidity mechanism within Layer 1
Because AMMs are directly integrated into Layer 1, $INIT plays a fairly important role across the entire DeFi ecosystem.
📈 Personal Opinion
I believe Initia’s biggest highlight is its ability to integrate “modular Rollup + MoveVM + the Cosmos ecosystem.” If, in the future, it can attract more DeFi, GameFi, or AI applications to deploy on it, it will help increase on-chain transaction volume and ecosystem activity, further driving demand for $INIT.
Also, currently circulating supply is about 14.88% of total supply. In the future, it’s still necessary to continuously monitor the token unlock schedule, TVL growth, the number of active on-chain addresses, and whether there will be more ecosystem partnerships and real-world application deployments—these could all affect long- to mid-term performance.
💡 Conclusion
Overall, Initia is a technically distinctive project within the Launchpool. Whether it can gain a foothold in the modular blockchain track still depends on the ecosystem’s development speed and developers’ adoption rate. I will continue to track its on-chain data and ecosystem building, and reassess potential investment opportunities afterward.
