Does XMR’s lack of a premine prove that its holders are widely distributed today?

When researching how $XMR was issued, “no premine” is a fact worth knowing. But it tells us about the starting point; it cannot directly tell us how many people hold the coins today.

Monero’s technical documentation states that the project had no premine and no presale. A premine can be understood simply as coins mined before public mining began; a presale is an arrangement to sell coins in advance. My view is that the absence of an advance allocation in the past does not automatically produce a list of current holders.
