Everyone likes to watch narratives that keep breaking to new highs, but sometimes the real gains and losses are hidden in the “abandoned ruins” that nobody cares about.
Take a look at the data for
$ARB . It’s already dropped an astonishing 96.5% from its ATH, shrunk 75% over the past year, and its market cap ranking is right on the edge of
#100 . What’s interesting, though, is that over the past 30 days it has basically been hovering around $0.07 with extremely low volume—dead quiet—until the bottom suddenly surged higher with a sudden volume spike of 7.5% in the last 24 hours. Daily trading volume jumped to $78 million, more than double the earlier average.
What does this kind of tape action indicate? A bottom that suddenly sees increased volume after a deep washout often means “smart money” is trying to test the liquidity overhead. When a token falls so far that even bag-holders are too lazy to complain and attention drops to absolute zero, even a small amount of replenishing capital can splash clearly on the chart. The current unusual move looks more like a probing attempt by long-term oversold capital.
But this absolutely does not mean the trend has already reversed. With a 96% drawdown, everything above is stacked with layers of trapped positions. If, going forward, volume can’t keep up—or if these days it can’t effectively break through and hold above the $0.085 near-term resistance zone—then this rally, in essence, is still just a technical repair, not a real cycle turn. In left-side battles, you always have to be prepared for liquidity to dry up again.📉
That’s how the market is: at the end of every rise and fall in price is the swing of emotion. Do you think
$ARB ’s yesterday volume surge was a dead cat bounce—or that it’s already fallen to the point where there’s nothing left to go down?
