🚨 $BTC JUST SLIPPED BELOW 80,000 USD AGAIN — BUT TODAY'S PCE + GDP AT 17:30 PKT COULD FLIP THE SCRIPT! ⚠️ Yesterday's Fed hold lifted $BTC above 81,000 USD. This morning the bounce faded fast. $BTC is now around 79,823 USD, down about 1.5% on the day, after touching 79,710 USD. $ETH is near 2,304 USD and $SOL has slipped under 100 USD. Here's the catch: 📉 The day's range tells the story: open 81,068 USD, high 81,823 USD, then a slide straight through the 80,000 USD line. 📊 Sentiment is calm, not panicked: Fear and Greed reads 43 Neutral on Binance Square, down from 47 Neutral at the last run. 💧 Today's double print is the trigger: Q3 GDP consensus 3.2% (previous 2.2%) and headline PCE consensus 3.6% year on year (previous 3.4%), both at 17:30 PKT. Takeaway: Hot inflation = tighter money expectations = thinner liquidity = bigger swings on data days. Clear event map. I’d compare the actual GDP and PCE readings with consensus, then check Treasury yields and the dollar before attributing BTC’s move to macro; the first reaction can reverse. Are you watching core PCE or GDP revisions first?

#BTC IS DUMPING HARD‼️ NEXT STOP $78K or $75k ? Yesterday I clearly warned you guys in my live session that #Bitcoin could dump hard and told you not to get trapped by those green candles. $BTC just crashed below $80K, dropping from above $81K to around $79,850. Exactly the kind of move I was warning about! And look at the rest of the market. $ETH has fallen toward $2,300, while $SOL is struggling below $100. The selling pressure is hitting major coins together. Now here's what I'm watching. If Bitcoin fails to reclaim $80K and breaks below $79,700, we could see another wave of selling toward $79K and possibly $78K. But a strong recovery above $80K could delay that bearish move. Guys, this is why I keep saying don't blindly chase green candles. A few hours of pumping doesn't mean the market has turned bullish. Who listened to my warning yesterday? And do you think BTC will hit $78K next?

#fedwatch Fed Holds at 3.75%–4.00%, But December Is the Real Test The Fed held rates on Oct 28, as expected, after September's 25 bp hike. The statement still calls inflation elevated, and two FOMC members dissented. Chair Warsh sidestepped questions on why the Fed didn't hike, so the next move is unclear. Rate-hike odds for December remain high, roughly 80% in recent CME FedWatch-based estimates. Check the live tool before trading. What it means for crypto: 🔴 Hawkish path: Higher yields and a stronger dollar could pressure risk assets. The Fed paused. Two voters wanted another hike. Rates stay at 3.75%–4%, but the inflation debate is still very much alive. For Bitcoin, avoiding a surprise hike helps. A sustained rally needs more. 👇 The decision passed 10–2, with Lisa Cook and Beth Hammack favoring a further 25-basis-point increase. The statement described economic growth as strong, domestic spending as resilient, and inflation as elevated. Policymakers want more information before deciding their next move. My take: the hold was widely expected, which limits its value as a fresh bullish catalyst. The bigger question is what would convince the Fed to raise rates again—or keep them unchanged for longer. For BTC, I’m watching whether buyers can sustain a recovery after the initial reaction. A quick green candle shows an immediate response; holding those gains would offer stronger evidence of demand. My longer-term bias remains bullish, with room for short-term volatility. The press conference and incoming inflation data can still reshape rate expectations. A pause gives the market breathing room. Buyers have to decide what to do with it. Is this enough for Bitcoin to regain momentum, or does the market need a clearer shift from the Fed? #bitcoin #fomc #FederalReserve $BTC {future}(BTCUSDT)

Fed Chair Warsh's latest updates! $BTC could face more pressure as the Fed remains concerned about inflation and interest rates could stay high for longer. Here's what Warsh said: • Inflation is still too high. • The Fed wants more data before its next move. • Starting in 2028, only 6 of the 8 yearly meetings will include rate decisions. Markets are also pricing in an 86% chance of a rate hike in December. For now inflation data and the Fed's next move remain key for $BTC . #Bitcoin

$BTC | SHORT SETUP 📉 Bitcoin is struggling to hold the $80,000 level, and the latest completed 4H candle adds pressure to the bullish recovery narrative. The important question now is whether sellers can turn this breakdown into sustained downside momentum. Trade plan - Direction: SHORT - Entry: $79,550–$79,600, only after a confirmed breakdown and failed retest - Stop-loss: $80,350 - Target 1: $78,900 - Target 2: $78,300 Invalidation: A strong recovery above $80,350 weakens this setup. My view: I would rather sell a failed retest than chase a falling candle. If BTC quickly reclaims $80K, I would stay out. No leverage heroics. $BTC Breaks Below Its Range and Tests 80,000: Altcoins Slide in the Asian Session 📰 🕒 Updated: Oct 29, 02:01 UTC · Bitcoin 80,035 The quiet range is over. Bitcoin Core published a bug on Oct 28 that lets any connected peer crash a node running on Windows, macOS or BSD. An AI scan had found it five days earlier. Under the old rules, a medium-severity bug like this stayed secret for roughly a year after the fix shipped. Core dropped that wait for bugs it calls "easily discoverable", meaning a simple LLM prompt could turn them up. Spiral's Project Loupe scan flagged this one Oct 23, fixes shipped Oct 27 and 28, and the advisory went out Oct 28. Linux nodes were never affected. Two more Loupe finds went public the same day. A slow memory leak reported Sept 15 was found again by another developer six days later. An undo-file overflow first reported in July was reported twice more by developers working on their own. Once three people have found the same bug, a year of silence protects nobody. Our check: the Bitnodes snapshot at 16:31 UTC+8 today counted 17,981 reachable nodes, and 523 of them run one of the four patched releases. That's about 2.9%. Bitnodes can't see a node's operating system, so this isn't the exposed share. The crash recipe is public, though, and about 97% of listening nodes still report an older version. Node on Windows or a Mac: update to 29.5, 30.4, 31.2 or 32.1 today. $BTC #BitcoinCore #Bitcoin NFA. DYOR.

FOMC held rates steady at 3.75–4%. The Fed voted 10-2 to keep the federal funds rate unchanged after its October meeting. Two members (Lisa Cook and Beth Hammack) preferred a 25 bps hike instead. The statement upgraded the economy to expanding at a “strong” pace. Domestic spending is resilient, productivity growth is solid, and the labor market is holding steady. Inflation, however, remains elevated. The Fed said more data is needed before deciding the next move and reaffirmed its commitment to getting inflation back to 2%. For crypto, this is a pause, not a clear pivot. Higher-for-longer rates can keep pressure on risk assets in the short term, but a strong economy with no immediate hike also removes one source of uncertainty. Markets are now watching incoming inflation and jobs data for the December meeting. How are you positioning after this hold — still cautious, or treating it as a green light for risk-on?? #fomc #crypto #bitcoin

Does Selling One Day Before 12 Months Really Double Your Crypto Tax?$BTC | Yes, and the reason is mechanical, not psychological. The crypto CGT discount is a flat 50 percent cut to the assessable gain, not a sliding scale, so missing the 12-month holding threshold by a single day takes a trader straight from half tax to full tax, a 100 percent increase on that gain's bill. ## What does the ATO actually count as "12 months"? On the desk the question that actually mattered was never the headline tax rate. It was the settlement calendar sitting next to it. Section 115-25 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997 gives individuals and trusts a 50 percent discount on a capital gain once an asset has been held long enough. The rule most traders get wrong is treating "12 months" as a round number instead of a hard boundary. SatoshiMacro's crypto CGT calculator spells out the mechanics plainly: the 12-month clock starts on the day after acquisition, and the disposal must occur on or after the date 12 months later. A disposal at exactly 12 months minus one day misses the discount entirely. There is no partial credit. No pro-rata. No "close enough." ## How much does missing it actually cost? Run the numbers SatoshiMacro's calculator already uses. A trader holding ETH for eight months with a $10,000 gain, taxed at the 37 percent bracket, owes $3,700 in CGT with no discount available. Wait four more months past the anniversary and the same $10,000 gain is halved to $5,000 of assessable income before tax, cutting the bill to $1,850. That is a saving of $1,850 on one disposal. Not a rounding difference. It is the full weight of the discount landing or not landing on a single trade. The pattern holds at larger size too. A BTC position held 14 months with a $30,000 gain at a 30 percent marginal rate pays $4,500 with the discount applied, against $9,000 if the identical gain had been realised a day before the 12-month mark. Same gain, same rate, double the tax. Purely a function of the calendar, nothing else. ## Why "at least 12 months" is the wrong way to think about it My read, after watching plenty of traders cut this margin close around EOFY, is that the danger sits in the word "at least." Twelve months sounds like a threshold cleared by holding to the day. It is not. The ATO's own position, under TR 2014/26, treats a crypto disposal as a CGT event governed by section 102-25, and the discount test requires the disposal to fall after the 12-month anniversary, not on it. A trader who sells on the anniversary date itself, believing they have "held it a full year," has in fact sold one day too early for the discount. If a position sits near that line and there is no urgent reason to exit, waiting a few extra days past the anniversary is the safer call than selling on it. ## The honest limitation SatoshiMacro's calculator is a planning tool, not a lodgment system. It does not track contract date against settlement date for every exchange type, so a trader whose timing is this close should confirm the exact acquisition timestamp from their own exchange records before relying on a date that tight. It also will not make a late-realised gain invisible. AUSTRAC-registered AU exchanges already feed data the ATO cross-matches against lodged returns, so skipping a gain near the deadline carries its own risk separate from the discount question. ## What this means heading into 31 October With the individual lodgment deadline on 31 October, any trader still holding a position near its 12-month mark should check the actual acquisition date before deciding whether to sell now or wait. A four-month wait on the ETH example above was worth $1,850. On a bigger position the same mechanic is worth proportionally more. The discount is binary. The calendar is not negotiable. Getting the date wrong costs exactly double the tax, not a rounding error. https://satoshimacro.com/tools/crypto/calculators/cgt-calculator/?utm_source=binance_square&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=autopilot_article #SatoshiMacro #CryptoTax #CGTDiscount #Bitcoin

Does Selling One Day Before 12 Months Really Double Your Crypto Tax?

$BTC | Yes, and the reason is mechanical, not psychological. The crypto CGT discount is a flat 50 percent cut to the assessable gain, not a sliding scale, so missing the 12-month holding threshold by a single day takes a trader straight from half tax to full tax, a 100 percent increase on that gain's bill.
