🚨 #Chainflip has paused its network after an attacker drained 736,442 $USDT from its $TRON.US integration.

The attacker found a flaw in how #FLIP processed #Tron transaction memos.

The trick was simple but costly: alter the memo on a transaction that validators had already signed. Chainflip's system treated it as a new swap and issued a refund effectively paying twice for the same deposit.

The attacker repeated the method over roughly 90 minutes. Only six attempts succeeded.

Chainflip says the exploit was limited to TRON USDT, with no other assets affected. It also says affected users will be made whole.
