🚨 BITGET SECURITY BREACH — SEPTEMBER 2026

On September 24, 2026, Bitget detected unauthorized transfers from part of its Hot/Warm Wallet infrastructure.

💰 Estimated assets affected: $387.5 MILLION

The initial estimate was approximately $351.6M, with further on-chain tracing identifying additional assets, including Zcash and TRON-related transfers.

🔐 What was affected? • Part of Bitget’s Hot/Warm Wallet infrastructure • Cold Wallets were reported as secure • User account balances were reported unaffected

⛔ Withdrawals were temporarily suspended while Bitget conducted a security review. Deposits and trading remained operational.

🔎 Investigation: Bitget engaged security firms including Mandiant and SlowMist to investigate the incident and trace the funds.

🇰🇵 North Korea connection? A possible link has been suggested, but it has not been publicly confirmed.

⚠️ Important: This was not a hack of the Bitcoin blockchain itself. The incident involved crypto-exchange wallet infrastructure.

Bitget nâng ước tính thiệt hại vụ hack ngày 25/9 từ 351,6 triệu USD lên 387,5 triệu USD.

​Mức điều chỉnh tăng thêm không phải do phát sinh giao dịch bất hợp pháp mới, mà do quá trình truy vết on-chain quét thêm được lượng tài sản bị ảnh hưởng trên Zcash và TRON chưa được thống kê đầy đủ trước đó.

​Sự cố tác động đến nhiều mạng lưới bao gồm Ethereum, các chuỗi EVM, XRP Ledger, Zcash và TRON. Các danh mục token bị rút gồm XRP, ETH, USDT, ZEC, USDC, USDT0, XAUt, BNB, AVAX và TRX. Tài sản hiện đổ về các ví hacker chính: 0x770b... (EVM), rwNhef... (XRP), t1WgMd... (Zcash) và TBWNgu... (TRON).

​Bitget khẳng định sự cố đã được cô lập hoàn toàn, không phát sinh thêm dòng tiền bất thường. Cuộc điều tra đang được phối hợp cùng hai đơn vị an ninh mạng Mandiant và SlowMist.

​Cổng rút tiền vẫn đang tạm dừng để rà soát bảo mật. Kế hoạch mở lại rút tiền dự kiến sẽ được công bố trước 11:00 sáng ngày 26/9 (giờ Việt Nam). Bitget cũng cam kết sẽ cập nhật phương án sử dụng Quỹ bảo vệ người dùng (User Protection Fund) để đảm bảo quyền lợi khách hàng.
