Theo sàn giao dịch Bitcoin River, chip máy tính lượng tử mới của Microsoft có thể đẩy nhanh tiến độ khiến Bitcoin trở nên kháng lượng tử.
Theo Cointelegraph đưa tin, Microsoft đã ra mắt chip điện toán lượng tử (QC) Majorana 1 vào ngày 19 tháng 2, gia nhập nhóm các công ty khác theo đuổi công nghệ này, bao gồm cả Google, công ty đã ra mắt chip Willow vào tháng 12.
Trong bài đăng ngày 20 tháng 2 trên X, River cho biết mặc dù bước đột phá về máy tính lượng tử đe dọa đến mật mã vẫn còn nhiều năm nữa mới đạt được, nhưng con chip mới có thể rút ngắn mốc thời gian đó.
“Con chip Majorana 1 hiện vẫn còn kém xa quy mô đó, nhưng có thể đạt mốc 1 triệu vào năm 2027-2029 [...] Khi chạy trong vài ngày đến vài tuần, một QC 1 triệu qubit có khả năng bẻ khóa các địa chỉ Bitcoin thông qua một cuộc tấn công tầm xa”, báo cáo cho biết.
“Bước đột phá này rút ngắn thời gian để Bitcoin chống lại lượng tử. Ngay cả khi phải mất một thập kỷ, việc giải quyết các lỗ hổng sớm là rất quan trọng”, nền tảng này cho biết.
