BTC finally gave us the move I was waiting for. After dropping toward $75K earlier this week, it has pushed back above $81K pretty quickly.

I’m liking the recovery, but I’m still keeping my eyes on whether BTC can hold above $80K. If buyers can defend this area, the chart starts looking much healthier to me.

Not chasing the pump — just watching how price behaves from here.

SOL is the one I’m keeping a close eye on today. It’s showing some nice strength compared with the last few sessions, and the momentum is starting to look interesting.

The August CPI number definitely changed the mood. Core CPI came in at 0.3% MoM, a little hotter than expected, and markets are now pricing roughly a 90% chance of a 25bps Fed hike at this week’s meeting. (Reuters)

Personally, I’m more interested in what comes after this hike. Is this just a one-time move to deal with sticky inflation, or are we entering a longer tightening cycle? That’s where the real volatility could come from.

For me, the reaction matters more than trying to predict the exact number.

BTC: A hawkish Fed could bring short-term pressure, but I’ll watch how price reacts around key support.

Tech stocks: Higher rates can keep pressure on growth/AI names, especially if Treasury yields continue climbing.

Gold: Normally higher rates are a headwind, but gold has been showing strength despite the Fed-hike expectations, so I’m watching this one closely.

I’m keeping my trades smaller around the announcement and waiting for confirmation rather than jumping in on the first candle.
