🏦 Ripple Receives Final Approval to Establish a US National Trust Bank
Ripple has received final approval from the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) to establish Ripple National Trust Bank, marking a significant milestone in the company’s push to expand its regulated digital-asset services. 🇺🇸
💵 The bank will be authorized to oversee segregated reserves supporting Ripple USD (RLUSD), act as a collateral trustee for those reserves, and provide fiduciary digital-asset custody services.
🔐 RLUSD will continue to be issued by Standard Custody & Trust Company, while the new bank adds a layer of federal oversight to Ripple’s institutional infrastructure.
🌐 The approval highlights the growing integration of stablecoins and blockchain services into the US financial system. It also strengthens Ripple’s position as competition intensifies in regulated digital payments.
