The number people always talk about when it comes to TermMaxs TMX is 1 billion supply.. That's not the number that actually affects how the price moves. Here's what is known: 1 billion #TMX in supply its fixed no inflation. 20% (200 Million TMX) will be available when the public release happens. #TermMax has also set aside 40 million TMX (4%) as a reward for users. This can be claimed 1:1 right after the release with no waiting time. That leaves around 800 million TMX (the majority of the supply) which will be released over some schedule for the team for investors and for the ecosystem. What I couldn't find anywhere is the details: how the 800 million is divided what the vesting or lock-up periods are or how quickly it comes out each month. For a protocol that already has over 1 million users, with $64 million plus in value and investors like MEV Capital and Keyrock it's surprising that this information isn't public yet. Maybe it's in a document I haven't seen. It will be shared closer to the TGE. I could be wrong. I'd be happy to be shown the source if its there. Here's why this is important: a fixed max supply and "no inflation" sound good. The cap alone doesn't tell you about the release speed. A protocol can set a cap at 1 billion. Still send tokens out faster than people can buy them. And thats what actually affects price, not the cap. TMX hasn't launched yet. This is still theoretical. But its exactly the kind of thing big investors look at before putting money in separate from whether they believe in the team. So once we find out how the 800 million splits between the team and investors: will the release speed match what a protocol, with this level of usage can handle or will supply grow faster than demand? #TermMax @termmax $BTW $BR $HEMI {spot}(HEMIUSDT) {alpha}(560xff7d6a96ae471bbcd7713af9cb1feeb16cf56b41) {alpha}(560x444045b0ee1ee319a660a5e3d604ca0ffa35acaa)

A friend asked what @Dusk actually is — one sentence. I didn't have a good answer. So I went layer by layer instead.
Bottom layer: #DuskEVM , execution. Solidity-compatible — nothing special alone, just an EVM environment.
Next: #Dusk splits privacy into two models. Phoenix is shielded — ZK proofs, amounts and parties hidden. Moonlight is public — account-based, fully visible. I assumed shielded was the "serious" model. Turns out Moonlight exists because exchanges and regulated integrations need a transparent, auditable option. Privacy isn't the default — it's a per-transaction choice.
Then Hedger — easy to miss, not the same as Phoenix. A confidentiality module for the EVM side: homomorphic encryption + ZK, so computation runs on encrypted data without anyone seeing raw values until an authorized party needs to.
Three privacy pieces, three jobs. Deliberate engineering, or a lot of moving parts to keep aligned. Maybe both.
Why it matters: NPEX — an AFM-regulated exchange with MTF, Broker, and ECSP licenses — plans to move 300M+ EUR onto Dusk. A regulated asset can't sit on a fully transparent ledger, or a fully opaque one. It needs exactly the selective disclosure these mechanisms exist for.
Still turning over: every piece — Phoenix, Moonlight, Hedger — adds a decision point. Who gets a view key. Which model an asset uses. That flexibility is the value prop for institutions. It's also more surface area to configure wrong.
Not a flaw — regulated finance really is this granular. @Dusk just makes it explicit.
Question I keep landing on: with this many configurable paths, does complexity live in the protocol, audited once — or in every institution that integrates, audited a hundred different ways?

Institutions want the transparency needed for regulations, but they can't afford to put all their sensitive financial moves on a public ledger. That's where @Dusk
comes in, tackling this exact problem as a privacy-focused, compliance-ready Layer-1 blockchain built for regulated markets and tokenized Real-World Assets (RWAs). Instead of exposing everything like typical public chains, it uses the Confidential Security Contract (XSC) standard so smart contracts can handle transfer rules and investor checks without leaking private data. Plus, with the upcoming DuskEVM mainnet and the Hedger module using zero-knowledge proofs, it opens up secure, reviewable confidential EVM workflows. It really makes you wonder: could this mix of privacy and compliance be the key that finally unlocks massive institutional adoption? $DUSK #dusk

DuskEVM's Confidential Layer: What Hedger Actually Changes?
"EVM-compatible privacy chain" sounds simple — same tooling, different network. But that skips the part that matters for regulated finance.

DuskEV $is the execution layer: familiar, Solidity-based, nothing confidential about it on its own.

The privacy lives in Hedger — a separate module using homomorphic encryption + zero-knowledge proofs. Computation happens on encrypted data. The network verifies correctness without ever seeing sender, receiver, or amount.

That's a deliberate split: confidentiality isn't baked into the base layer — it's applied where a workflow needs it. Reviewable privacy, not blanket privacy.

That also means the guarantee is only as strong as how correctly each builder wires Hedger in. Clean in theory. Adoption-dependent in practice.
So the real question isn't whether DuskEVM is "private." It's: when confidentiality is opt-in at the module level, who actually verifies it was implemented right — the protocol, the a$uditor, or the market finding out the hard way?

Zero-Knowledge and the RWA Privacy Problem
Public blockchains solved transparency almost too well. Every balance, every transfer, every position — visible to anyone who looks. For regulated financial assets, that's not a feature. It's a blocker.
@Dusk approaches this differently. Zero-knowledge proofs let a transaction demonstrate that a rule was satisfied — an eligibility check, a transfer restriction, a compliance requirement — without exposing the underlying financial data behind it.
Apply that to tokenized securities: a smart contract can enforce who's allowed to hold or transfer an asset, while the actual balances and identities behind those checks stay private. The rule gets proven. The data doesn't get published.
That's a narrower goal than "private blockchain" usually implies. It's not about hiding activity — it's about separating what needs to be verified from what needs to stay confidential, and settling the transaction on-chain either way.
Worth separating from that, though: architecture isn't demand. $DUSK still has to earn real usage — institutions actually building on it, assets actually moving through it, not just the design holding up on paper.
If proof-of-compliance can replace exposure-of-data, does "trustworthy" start meaning something different for financial blockchains — less about what you can see, more about what can be verified without seeing it?
