Is there any classification of Cryptocurrencies?
To build my portfolio I have created a classification of Cryptocurrencies to recognize the different types of Crypto available.
🅱️Limited supply Cryptocurrencies: They are programmed to a maximum number of tokens (units of the cryptocurrency). Example: Bitcoin will only have 21 million BTC (That's why it is so valuable).
🏷️Unlimited supply Cryptocurrencies: In this case, there is no limit on Cryptocurrencies, although they use deflationary mechanisms to increase their value. Example: Ether ETH.
💲Stablecoins: These are Cryptocurrencies that have a 1:1 relationship with centralized currencies. Example: Tether USDT or USDC which maintain the same exchange rate as the dollar.
🐶Memecoins: These are low-value Cryptocurrencies based on elements of popular culture and the Internet, aimed at creating a community based on a well-known image. Example: Dogecoin DOGE which is based on Shiba Inu (which has also inspired another memecoin SHIB), the famous meme dog 🐶.
📱Native: These are Cryptocurrencies developed by the platforms, which facilitate internal transactions. Example: BNB the native cryptocurrency of Binance.
